Beau was up to roll eggs and back down again @ 8:02 pm. Looked like he could hear her up above him...he settled back down and tucked his head to sleep again @ 8:05 pm.
Does Beau hear Gabby above him? Looked like it!
He wasn't quite satisfied so up again @ 8:14 pm to roll and dig some more and then back down again!

Beau was up tending to the eggs @ 11:59 am...back down tucking the moss all around him.
Gabby's behavior has been puzzling since early yesterday. She incubated for less than an hour all day yesterday and was perched by the nest thru out the day and last night.
Other than being subdued, there were no indications of physical issues. She had a healthy PS in the a.m., her motor skills were normal. Eyes clear and alert.
This morning she was in the same spot she was all night. Shortly before flying at 9:39 she did a big rouse. Her flight looked normal from what little we could see.
We will not speculate, compare this situation to illnesses at other nests or attempt to diagnose and we respectfully ask that everyone refrains from doing so.
Prayers, good vibes, whatever you do to seek help and positivity are greatly appreciated.

Chat this afternoon; lots of discussion from chatters about Gabby’s behavior. Mods reminded everyone that it’s watch, wait and see. Trust the eagles.meanwhile nothing appears wrong around the nest, Gabby looks fine and Beau is doing a great job incubating.

Beau was up to roll eggs again at 8:50 pm

Gabby at dusk at the ET
SUNDAY TUCK-IN: Well, our faithful Beau is fully tucked and incubating in the face plant position. Gabby's behavior has been mysterious this weekend. She arrived this afternoon with a fish which she devoured at the nest. She then perched on LOP and later flew. This evening she was across the street at the ET where I tucked her at 6pm. SED to our Hamlets and to all! Gabby at dusk at the ET

Eyes on the ground have spotted Gabby at one the eagles' daytime perching spots in their territory near the nest.
Gooood morning Hamlet! Beau off at 10:02 and back at 10:05. He flew off again at 10:09, and back at 10:12.

Good afternoon Hamlet family, thank you for being here today! Beau is up for a wing stretch at 12:25. Rolls the eggs and wiggle wiggle back down. Up again at 1:16 for a wing and leg stretch an egg roll and back down on the eggs. Up again and flew at 1:40 and back at 1:46 rolls the eggs and wiggles back down. Up at 2:01 and back at 2:04. Up at 2:45 to reposition and back down. Up next is jd_AEF to keep an eye out! Take care Hamlet family, have a blessed and safe Christmas day with family and friends. xoxo
@everyone As many are aware, Gabrielle's behavior has been puzzling since early Saturday. She incubated for less than an hour on Saturday. In the evening she was perched out of cam sight, but I saw her at tuck. She roosted high in the nest tree through the night.
Sunday morning I saw Gabby in the same spot. She flew from the nest tree mid morning and returned early afternoon with a fish, which she promptly devoured. She then perched on LOP and flew a little over an hour after her arrival. Gabby returned later in the afternoon and flew shortly after. She did no incubation on Sunday. At tuck I saw her roosting close by in the ET that night and provided a pic.
It appears Gabby has rejected her incubation duty. Other than not incubating the eggs, there are no indications of physical issues. She had a healthy PS Saturday morning. Her motor skills are normal. She has no issues flying or fishing. She caught a fish and ate it. Her eyes are clear and alert. This morning (Monday) I spotted her a distance from the nest, however within their 2 mile territory. I'm very certain it was her based on specific markings.
We are reaching out to a few raptor educators/biologists to see if they might be able to provide some insight into why Gabrielle is not incubating. With the holidays, we may not get an answer immediately, but we will share their thoughts and any facts known when we do. Until then we remain hopeful that this is just a minor bump. Prayers are welcomed! Dear Beau remains faithful incubating the eggs.

Re: NE Florida 2024-2025 Nest Eagles
Beau has been doing an amazing job incubating and even defending the nest and his eggs. At 11:11 am this morning Beau hopped up and went into defensive posture. An eagle could be seen coming towards the nest - lower left hand corner. It was too quick to get any kind of ID on the eagle. There was no confrontation and Beau settled back down on the eggs.

Thank you Gracie Shephard for sharing these s’caps on FB
Welcome back, Gabby. She was gone for 24 hours. She is looking pretty good and has something in her crop. Appears to be trying to pass a pellet. She went over to the eggs and is now incubating. Beau flew off.
