I was back here Tuesday, June 19. Again I found no sign of eaglets, but another friend on our local Wildlife Spotting group on FB posted a picture June 18 of both eaglets in the nest, feeding of one ongoing. Sadly I cannot get the picture to post here. Thank you for agreeing to allow me to post it Ken McBride.
I found 4 feathers that looked like possible eagle feathers on the ground and was concerned for our young eaglets but on googling Canada goose tail feathers there they were. So 1 of our many Canada geese at the Marsh somehow lost at least 4 tail feathers! A neighbour there found a beautifully coloured wing feather from a female mallard but possibly due to moulting, possibly picked up by an eagle.
Two turkey vultures circled above the nest eliciting calling from an adult perched in a nearby tree but I couldn't see it.
Lots going on, just no eaglets nor eagles seen! :(

June 27 I got my husband to work with the picture and he was able to make it postable. Taken at least a week ago by Ken McBride. Thank you again Ken.

There were only 2 Mallard ducklings this size left when I was there June 19. Easy pickings for the eagles, nest almost directly above the pond.

I think this was the remains of a gull visible in the nest. White feathers stuck to the outside of the nest, back end or wing sticking up.

2 turkey vultures were circling over the nest. I'd love to know what other remains were in there. An adult eagle called out a warning to them from a very nearby perch tree. The turkey vultures slowly circled away, I could not find the adult. ;)

Over at the top of Porpoise Bay a gull was nesting on the former heron nest. :w00t:

Lots going on last week. Will see what my next visit brings.

Thanks San dra for the great pics and updates. And confirmation that there are 2 eaglets.

I was at the Marsh last Sunday and saw some wingercising from one of the eaglets! I couldn't see the other eaglet probably snoozing lower down in the nest :)

Yesterday's visit proved a bit more exciting for me. First there was 1. Taken from the opposite side of the water.

Then there were 2 as I was going to leave. Taken from Osprey and Wharf.

And no wonder I haven't been able to find Pa in the perch tree by the road. He used to perch higher but is covered by greenery these days. I noticed a solid suspicious looking form in the tree from the bench across from the nest tree.

I stopped while passing by this nest on July 4 and yesterday. Each day I saw only 1 eaglet in the nest. Yesterday it looked like the eaglet was either on the edge of the nest or on a branch immediately beside. I couldn't find another eaglet in the tree nor in trees nearby.

I've received updates from a neighbour to this nest to report that both eaglets remain, lots of wingsercising, one getting good air yesterday. Good it wasn't blown away with the high winds! :w00t:

I got some photos on the 12th showing only one eaglet in the nest. We know now that there were 2 there as I watched a pair of wings being displayed. Taken from Wharf Rd at Osprey.

As taken from the bench across the water from the nest. Eaglet was on a branch in the top right corner of the photo.

I walked around the path on the top side of the Marsh to get this location.

I got back here last week, July 17 to again find just 1 eaglet in the nest tree but higher up, away from the nest. Both fledged by the end of the week, as reported by a couple of friends, a wildlife watcher and a neighbour. Successful fledges with landings as well as flights. Nest is visible in first picture below the eaglet. :thumlft: :thumlft:
