B16's a preening machine with all those feathers coming in. Mum departed from the left branch during this preening session.

Trying to fight off a food coma. The sleepies won out a few minutes later.

So big.

B16 spread those wings as a defense mechanism as Mum flew in the left branch.

As Mum alerted, Dad was quick to fly in it to the back branch. Mum flew off to take care of business.

Dad hopped to the nest from the back branch and gave B16 the last few morsels of leftover fish.

B16 got snappy with Dad as he aerated the nest. It's been great to see the feistiness of B16.

Spending the afternoon with Dad.

Dad had left for a little while. B16 got snippy when he returned.

There must have been a lot of other birds flying over the nest tree on a breezy day. Dad keeps an eye overhead.

After shift change, Mum perched on the left branch while B16 was content to nap for an extended time, sprawling out a wing occasionally.

Mum brought in some fluff; she was busy scattering and aerating it as B16 nibbled on her leg feathers. A short time later, B16 worked on scattering and rearranging fluff.

B16 found a squirrel tail to play with. Mum noticed and came down from the left branch. They played "pass the squirrel tail" a few times; then Mum returned to the left branch.

Mum had left for a while and returned with fluff.

Sleep well, Mum and B16.
