The eaglets are changing and growing so much now it really is hard to tell unless you get a close up of their face to tell the difference. We noticed that Honor has a smooth curve to the cere in front of the nares and Courage has a bit of a point especially on the right side of the beak.

We still have no cams here. I'm not sure what is going on!!
From the FB page ---
Good morning! No updates on cam being back online just yet. We continue to wait for the official word from Earth Conservation Corps on a camera reset, due to power outages in the area caused by storms that rolled through earlier this week. Remember that we are privileged to watch these amazing birds and that, through a gracious partnership with the MPDC academy, we are able to have eyes on our favorite eagle family at all.
On Justice, Liberty, Honor, and Courage: We would like to assume they are doing just fine and going about their eagle business. We have no reason to believe otherwise. Eagles are hardy, and J and L have persevered through many weather conditions, as bald eagles do. These 20+ year old parents have experience on their side!

Talons crossed---we may be getting the cams back real soon!! One of the chat mods for this cam, SuzieO, has given me permission to post a few pictures that she took when she recently visited the nest. Thanks Susie!!
Here we see one of the eaglets right on the edge of the nest.
One of the eaglets is peeking through the branches
This last one I borrowed from their FB page---no name attached. It is a nice shot of Liberty and Justice.

Thursday May 31, 2018.. Honor fledges from the nest for the first time! he is 75 days old and looked like a pro taking off from the side of the nest.. 6:26 am.. He flew around, and did an awkward landing under the nest but flew around several times. Just brings food to the nest around 9:43 and he comes in to the nest to eat! Congrats to Honor!

Sunday 6/17/18 A very pretty Sub Adult arrived to the nest, one of the juvies came in to the nest and went right off again, probably startled because it didn't know who it was! A parent arrived a short time later to chase the Sub off the nest. Both Juvies came to the nest afterwards and all is well. Thanks Connie Walsh for the great snaps!
