I did just watch the above program on Youtube. It was wonderful of Christian and John to do this for folks who did not know what happened to the DNN eaglets. It was informative for those who didn't know but everything they said has pretty much been covered here on our thread already. :thumlft:

I just watched the videos of this nest on Youtube. Condolences to everyone who followed the little ones.Marg :cry1:

Thank you Mary for posting that article. That was very interesting. The eaglet at the Trio nest couldn't take it any more and took the big leap off the nest because of those flies. She's somewhere below the nest and we hope to see her again. That was a very informative article and thank you again for posting it.

A very interesting article MaryF. They speculate that Orion on Trio nest fledged early because the nest was infested. Wonder if he has lots of bites. He’s somewhere close to the nest but has not come back yet. As for Decorah North, it’s so sad that the second clutch was late in the season so the precious chicks were exposed to all those black flies.
