I just took a quick look around the area for Ma and I did not find her on any poles or trees that she frequents, but I did find that one of the neighbors is home and they are on their nest.

9:10 am - oops I may have been wrong. I don't normally check the trees by the school but I just did and there is an adult there. Could be Ma.

9:14 am - Time for me to go. I leave the nest with Pa on egg duty. If you are watching and you see Ma come back, please post. We are on egg watch for the 2nd egg, which is due today. Everyone have a great day!

9:42am........... Good morning Delta2 friends! Thank you Cheryl, Sandy and Sue for all your presence here this morning! It is indeed a lovely day here...........wonderful conditions to see a 2nd egg laid! Pa will likely give Ma as much a break as he can until she needs to come back to the nest for that egg laying. I will be here most of the day, on and off. Will try to keep watch for that.

Today's weather:

10:10am.........Thank you Cheryl for checking the cams........not a good time to have issues with them. I take it you are not ON the cams?

Thanks Sue for making another report on the tech thread..........I see there is a reply..........jkr is calling Ken. :luck:

With these issues today, we should keep the cams on the nest. And definitely the WEST cam kept on the nest at that rollback is working.

10:28am.............I took a look at the rollback just to confirm who is on the nest..............Pa was on the egg at 9:25am............He left the nest and Ma came into it at 9:28am. So Ma was there after that.

10:31am..........From the rollback: Although Ma was on the egg, Pa came to the nest and began moving sticks. I think the males do this to get the female off the egg as they like to incubate it too! :mihihi: Once Pa was there messing around, Ma got up and left. So this is Pa now on the nest at 10:34am, not Ma.

10:36am..............Currently...........Pa was doing a lot of calling out.............Ma was near. Ma came to the nest and switched egg duty with Pa. Pa is gone and Ma is now on the nest. A lot of short visits it seems..............she must know it is close to her time to lay that second egg.

Ma is now on the nest!

10:47 a.m.: Hello, Jean and all! How lovely to see an egg on one of our nests! Parent got up, aerated the nest bowl, did an egg roll and settled back down.
10:49-10:50 a.m.: Parent got up again, did another egg roll, then settled back down again.
