Re: SW Florida Eagle Cam - 2017/18
Good morning. I just returned from a mini getaway to Mexico but wanted to be sure to post here before the forum stopped for the season. Thank you to everyone associated with this amazing experience; the Administrators, Moderators, Zoomies, ground crew, and anyone else behind the scenes, but especially the Pritchetts for bringing this to us on camera into our homes. What a gift! Last season was my first and I tuned in just as E9 hatched, which was about 2 weeks after I had just lost two of my 17 year old kitties (Scooter and Fivel). The experience with E9 helped to replace some joy I would not have otherwise been able to feel for some time to come. Then, right after E10 and E11 hatched, I Iost yet another 17 year old kitty (Wilson)! Once again, being able to be entertained by this eagle family every single day was so healing. I'm hoping that more and more people find this site for an experience like no other. Not only is it educational, but the passion that all of you feel and pass on to us viewers is contagious! I thank you from the bottom of my heart and look forward to next season. In the meantime, just as with last season, I'm off to send my donation to the Pritchetts and Hancock Wildlife to support this miracle experience for all of us.
With much respect and love to all,
jsheptwo (aka Judy)
Hi Judy! Thank you for stopping by and posting your wonderful thoughts and thank you's to everyone!
So sorry to hear about the loss of your Scooter and Fivel kitties last year. I lost my 17 year old Yorkie "MacKenzie" last year too...and I must tell you, watching E9, Harriet and M15 helped me get through that loss....so, I totally understand what you shared with us.
FYI...This season 6 forum will remain active throughout the summer because when Vicki O visits the nest, she will share her videos here for us. And, sometimes a local forum member or a forum member who travels just to visits the nest will post their photos here.
Also, just before Season 7 starts, this Season 6 forum will be closed so we can prepare the Season 7 new forum!
So good to meet you! Have a good evening...~ Journi

Re: SW Florida Eagle Cam - 2017/18
I agree with Judy that watching this Eagle family is so healing and fulfilling.
To continue Pascale's post from yesterday . . . .
3:49 p.m. Pritchett update Eagle in tree by parking lot . .
I wonder if the shoppers know that there are people on the Internet watching the Eagle in the parking lot that is watching them!

Journi, thank you so much for the good news...that this Season 6 forum will remain open through the summer. I look forward to Vicki's videos, and that soothing, caring voice.jsheptwo wrote: ↑Tue May 15, 2018 11:03 amGood morning. 7:45pm - Adult is still perched in the Publix parking lot!
Maybe it misses seeing people around...and wonders where the cameras are...?
Sure seems to like this tree location! Scap by Journi - SWFEC

8:01pm - Adult still perched in the PLTree (Parking Lot Tree)
and then at 8:11pm it flew towards the right which is towards the west pasture area. It started raining a lot after this adult left the parking lot...
hopefully Harriet and/or M15 are getting shelter...maybe in their favorite west pasture tree tonight?

NEST ACTIVITY - WEDNESDAY MAY 16th
Good Morning! 4:45am An adult was seen flying toward the west pasture last evening, possibly Harriet and M15 roosting in the west pasture trees overnight.
5:20 a.m. All cams are buffering and the IR is not on. Cam owners have been notified and will be working on the problem.
wskrsnwings is at the nest. 6:22 Good morning. I do not see or hear any Eagles in the nest tree pasture or the west pasture.
6:26 a.m. an adult flies from a west pasture tree across the road toward yonder pond.
6:37 a.m. No other eagles seen or heard. No eagles on the power poles.
6:53 a.m. M15 in mom’s tree at yonder pond, eating a fish on the branch.
6:57 a.m. Harriet arrives, perches on top of mom’s tree watching M15 eat.
7:08 a.m. M15 moves away from the fish. Harriet drops down to the branch and finishes eating the fish, tail first.
7:36am Harriet finished fish. Both perched quietly on branch. Harriet to top of mom’s tree again, spreads wings out to dry.
7:58am M15 flies across pond and perches in a tree.
8:00-8:10am both vocalizing off and on. I do not see anything that they might be vocalizing about it. But I’m sure they see something I cannot.
8:16am wskrsnwings is headed home. Harriet remains perched at the top mom‘s tree. M15 is still perched in a tree across the pond. No more vocals heard.
ptz report: 3:01pm Appears an adult is perched on Mom's tree at Yonder Pond. 3:07pm Adult has left Mom's tree.
5:37p Cam1 ptz panned by operator, no eagles were seen.
