Good night, all.
Re: Delta2 2017 - 2018 Observation and Discussion Thread
9:18pm.........Good evening Delta2 friends! Wow, many thanks everyone for being here today while I was helping out at the HWF table during the OWL open house! What a great team to work with..............reading your posts, I feel like I was here in person!
Welcome Robert to our Delta2 nest! This is a very productive nest with experienced eagles and I know you will love them as we do. Please feel free to post your observations as you see them!
Seeing that we are having new people join us I would like to remind everyone that on the first page of this Discussion forum, there is some information about this nest with some pictures of our eagles which may help newcomers get to know this pair more quickly. You will also find some background information there about our Delta2 eagles. Here is a link to the first page.

Also a reminder to all.............The HWF cams are showing bald eagle nests with the purpose of providing education and enjoyment to the viewers. David Hancock does sometimes use the information in our posts (words and pictures) for the many talks he gives to various groups and other biologists too, will sometimes look here for information here as well. So it is very important that we try to post what only what we actually see happen...............and to keep a professional tone in all our posts so that these researchers can easily access the written notes regarding our eagle family and quickly find what they are searching for. So keeping in mind that this site is used for scientific purposes please make your posts fit that purpose.
If you are making a video for us..........thank you! Please try to keep them no longer than about 3 to 4 minutes and if something significant is happening in that video please point out to us that at "such and such" time the event happened. That way people who are in a hurry, like David Hancock, can quickly go to the important event of the video. Thanks everyone.

It looks like the cam keeps going off. The cam only goes back to 9.30
It went off line at 10.25 and during the intervening time Ma was asleep for a few minutes and then awake and asleep again. The eaglets were both asleep but restlessly moving.

G'd afternoon Cheryl
Would you like me to post the long version of this vid. I'm uploading it now. It's about 6 minutes. Is that too long?

Re: Delta2 2017 - 2018 Observation and Discussion Thread
I just went in to see if the zoomer cams were working and they are, but I don't have time to stay on them right now. Here are a few s'caps of what I took off the zoomer screen. Resolution is not as good as from YouTube. Not sure who was on the tree branch, but assume it may have been Ma. And then would assume that is Pa on the first tower. Kids are awake, waiting for breakfast.
Edit: I meant to mention that Ma flew off the branch and instead of taking a s'cap I tried to follow her but didn't find her......unless that is who is on the first pole.

7:03 am - Good Morning Delta 2! I am in on the cams. Looks like the viewer cams are not up just yet so I'll post what I can from the zoomer cams. Resolution will be much lower than from Youtube though.
Dusk and Dawn are sleeping right now.
