Hi Grosbeak, I went back to look. On a tablet, so its hard to pinpoint an exact time. Didn't get a scap, But did see the bird! I want to say a crane? Egret? I don't know what birds are in Florida. It had a long neck, long legs, and a crook in wings. Not eagle features. Probably a large beautiful bird ;). Hope that helps. Anybody else have an idea ? :bye 1:

Temperature says 85°. EEs are probably hiding in a shady spot, finding funky new things to play and learn with  I would also think they are being feed on the ground, by adults. Trying to get them out of that nest food, habit. Learn to find the food out of the nest.

Hi, lovinnature. The bird in question has peregrine-style wings, rather than the buteo-style such as the eagles have. Based on previous visits to the Gulf Coast, I'm thinking it may have been a Royal Tern. It had a swallow-type tail.

I watch on a PC with a large screen, and I was able to interrupt the playback as the bird dipped and flipped, so got a good idea of it's overall shape. But in the end, I'm still guessing. Thanx.

Grosbeak and lovinnature. Here is a scap of the bird that was flying by the front pines at 1141.
It looks like a swallow- tailed kite to me. It has a forked tail.
