Chat summary: Gabby delivered a nice catfish breakfast for Legacy at 7:26 am which kept her pretty busy throughout chat. Currently Gabby is perched at LOP and Legacy has hopped to Wallenda after finally eating the last tidbits of her fish.

9:18 am Legacy hops to the nest to lay down...guess she didn't feel like wind surfing this morning.

Good afternoon everyone! Legacy is currently laying down in the nest taking a little break from the wind at 12:03 pm. At 12:49 pm Legacy moves to the Wallenda branch, back to the nest and over to the Wallenda again at 12:52 pm. Legacy decides to lay back down in the nest at 12:56 pm. At 1:23 pm Legacy is still laying down looking around, the wind is still blowing. Well at 2:08 pm Legacy is still laying down and relaxing. Legacy is up at 2:15 pm, moves to Sunset branch, back to the nest and is currently perched on LOP. At 2:37 pm Legacy took off from LOP. Legacy is back at 2:45 pm and lays back down at 2:46 pm. My cam shift is over. I hope you enjoyed all the views this afternoon. So glad Legacy decided to stay put for us today so we could enjoy her at the nest. Have a great rest of the day and take care.

FRIDAY TUCK-IN: Arriving in the Hamlet we found mom (photo above) perched in the ET across the street from the nest. She could no doubt view the little yipper, and she, too, could see mom as she was yipping away. We didn't see dad, but he often arrives later than mom and likely showed up at the ET after dark once we left. It's been a couple of windy days. Legacy has the right idea laying flat in the nest! SED to our Hamlets and SED to all! 🙂 🥰 😴

jd_AEF — 23:19 11:15 pm Legacy is still laying down, sheltered from the wind and sleeping peacefully! Her nest is rocking her to sleep like the sweet baby she is to all of us!

jd_AEF — 23:56 Midnight check-in: Legacy hasn't moved much since last report...still tucked and sleeping as winds have calmed to gentle breezes.
Today, May 15th, is National Armed Forces Day, " a special holiday for people all over the world to come together and thank the men and women of the United States Armed Forces. First conceived by President Harry S. Truman, the holiday was established in 1949. The creation of a single day celebration for all five branches of the United States military made sense due to its recent unification under the Department of Defense. Today, Armed Forces Day is celebrated on the third Saturday of every May, this year falling on May 15." We celebrate and salute you all on this special day. :flag_us:
It is also National Astronomy Day, so I'll check to see if we can see any moon or stars tonight on the long range cam. Looks like the moon is behind the trees but some twinkling stars looking over Legacy at this time.

jd_AEF — 00:08 Legacy peacefully sleeping at the midnight hour
