LOL Heather - I honestly don't know! I don't usually have quite as much trouble identifying the eagles as I'm having now...

I usually look at tail shape and necklines, but that hasn't been as helpful as usual. I was a bit surprised to see some small dark feathers in the head of an eagle I thought was Lady a few days ago - and there wasn't the usual large scattering of dark feathers under the wings that I look for in Lady. Could be due to moulting, I guess...

You and Bev have had them both in the nest at one time and I think it's really helpful to see them that way...


Thanks Bev and Heather - I checked the DVR back to the last post and didn't see a visit!

Thanks Yolande.. I am not good at ID'ing Dad and Lady when they are alone in the nest .. like you said .. Much better when both are in the nest ..

I checked the DVR and I didn't see a nest visits ... i didn't miss one .

Boy Bev i miss that spot on Lady's head too . I did notice wider tail feathers but wasn't sure if wind was a cause , would be nice if both Dad and Lady would come to nest , more than once , I thought frequent visits were hormones kicking in thinking the days getting longer . Thank goodness Dad has that bump .
