9:29 am - well the hawk must have flown off as I posted my previous s'caps.....was going to try to get the W Cam there for a look but they were gone.

The other bird is still on the first tower. Still not sure this one is big enough to be an eagle....but....as I am going through my last s'caps of this bird it is looking bigger and bigger to me, lol. Could that be an eagle? It didn't seem like one when it flew to the tower but I wasn't all the way zoomed in so I'm not really sure.

Thanks, Sue. It does look like a large bird. 9:49 am logging into both cams to take a look.

9:52am..........Good morning Linuxgw2, JudyB, Sue, Sandy and all Delta2 friends! Thanks for letting us all know Judy about the situation as there are viewers who will be wondering. Hopefully our tech team can find a resolution to this problem soon.

Sue, I also think these are hawks we've been seeing. This last one is not so certain, but I also think it might be a bit too small to be an eagle...........too bad we can't get a closer look with the cams.

The weather has been horrible since yesterday with heavy, heavy rainfall and winds...............the birds in the area will be looking for places to take shelter for sure. It will be a few more days before we get back to some nice weather.

9:58am........As we are getting closer to the time when our eagles return I will post this information. Although the first few years are about Pa, not Trooper, I am including them too because Ma's dates are also there to be noted. Trooper's return dates are nearer to the bottom.

These are the dates I have on record for when our eagles returned in the past:
Information taken from HWF records
.

RETURN DATES FOR MA AND PA AND TROOPER AT DELTA2

2013...................Eagles returned Oct. 7, 2013.
(Note: Ma’s leg was noticed to be injured on Feb. 8, 2014. The next year she seemed to return to the area later than the other years).

2014...................Pa to the area Oct. 12, 2014.
Pa to the nest Oct. 17,2014.
Ma to the nest Oct. 26, 2014.

2015...................Eagles returned to the area Oct. 3, 2015.

2016..................Pa to the area Oct. 4, 2016.
Pa to the nest Oct. 6, 2016.
Ma and Pa seen on the poles Oct. 9, 2016.

2017..................Pa to the nest and tree Oct. 7, 2017. (It was thought he was back earlier but we couldn’t confirm).
Ma and Pa into the nest Oct. 11, 2017.

2018................Ma was here from September 28th to October 1st. We did not see her again until around October 10th. Her identity was confirmed on October 15th along with that of Trooper who was now here with her.

2019................Trooper in the nest on Sept. 28th. Ma (suspected) seen but not confirmed in the nest until Sept. 30th, 2019.

9:56 am so saw some small birds at the evergreen but the large bird Sue saw is no longer on the tower. It is really windy today. I thought I saw the possibly of sunshine but nope. No sunshine.

Thanks, Jean, for posting about the Delta history. Maybe in the a few more days when the weather makes a change for the better, it be a time to welcome Ma and Trooper back.

Thanks, Judy and Ken, for getting the cams back online!

3:17pm.........Great to see both cams streaming! :woohoo: thank you Ken! The rain has stopped for now and we have been seeing some sun out there but it is still windy in the Lower Mainland. The mics are definitely working............the sound of the wind is not nice.

IN on both cams.

3:31pm............It is very blustery out there................lots of dark clouds around so it looks like the rain is coming back.

NO sign of any birds at all.

I am now OFF both cams.

7:11pm......IN on both cams.

A quick look at the towers and poles etc.............not seeing anyone around at all.

Thanks Judy for fixing the issue with the date on the E zoomer cam!

7:20pm........I am now OFF both cams.

On another note.............both the Harrison Mills adults returned home safe and sound today! :woohoo:

9:31am.......... Good morning Delta2 friends! Another nasty rain and wind storm came in overnight............it is awful in the area right now so it is not a good day for checking?moving the cams. Let's hope Ma and Trooper are still far up north where it hopefully is calmer. The sound of the wind over the mics is horrible.

9:36pm......IN on both cams.........this will likely be quick as the wind is so strong at this time.

Can't see much of anything as the cams are bouncing and jerking around..........way too windy out there! There were a couple of birds towards the towers..........wings look curved so don't think they were eagles.............could be gulls.

There is quite a bit of blue sky showing now, so the rain has stopped. I'm actually seeing some sun and shadows showing on the nest! But that wind is nasty right now!

I am now OFF both cams.

1:23pm........IN on both cams.

Could this be one of the Tower adults home?? Not sure.....cam is bouncing.............but it looks like a white head at times, but that could be clouds in the background. This might be a juvie. :dunno:

1:35pm.......More of the mystery bird on the big Tower. Might be too small to be an eagle.......maybe a hawk?

1:40pm........Someone has arrived on the right tip of the first tower.......they were not there a moment ago.

After watching for a few minutes I'm thinking this is not an adult eagle, but could be wrong. Cam is bouncing too much.
