Evenin' folks

Judi,
I've kept up with the fire news & it's unprecedented. 😲
Kasey's wife Jess, has family near Portland & they have car packed just in case.

CBS Sunday morning had aerial vid from fire ravaged towns & they were leveled. :cry1:

People, communities, towns, wildlife . . .no place to hide.

Growing up near the central tx Gulf of Mexico, then north tx, now eastern part of the gulf I've experienced weather from hurricanes, tornadoes, drought & flood but fire, with big wind has to be the worse. There are little boundaries there.

Hurricane Sally is bringing rain bands here but no dire weather. Safe blessings to those in the path.

Dr. Lynn must have a heavy heart over the 6 bears lost, Scott. Whether known bears or not. :brknhrt:
How's Chase, your Mom & rest of loved ones? I hope doing well. My mom has her memory issues at times among other tribulations but looked after & seems to be happy.

Iona, what a sight to see all the puppies in one place & trying to keep them on task. :grlol;
:ty: :ty: for that link.

Later :bye 1:

Please do not misunderstand Naoma.....I do not want any bears taken at any time. I am glad you are not getting the brunt of the storm.

The fires are horrible, no way around that. I agree with what you said and hope for weather to top them.

Judi, thanks for your kind words, losing Bill's friend is very hard. The sunflower is beautiful.

Take care all, hope for better days,
carolyn

It's really a shame there isn't a hunting ban in all areas that have important research projects ongoing Carolyn. So much to be learned and so senseless having to potentially lose key study animals. :(
The resident hawk has used the bird bath twice that I've seen this week. Cam focus wasn't set properly today and I was too slow getting set up for the previous visit.

Camera focused properly for today's HAWK VISIT but it didn't take the bath it seemed to be preparing for. Something had it on alert.

The hawk took it's time Scott. . . . "Should I stay or should I go" :D
What brilliant colors in Ely. :rh:

Iona, Carolyn:wave:

A day of big wind & rain here. It moves thru in bands and so far, between them & the sandy ground, it's soaked in.
