Thanks for these great articles. I am also very interested in wildlife. Even, I have scheduled a nature and wildlife exploration trip, which was postponed due to the current Covid problem.

Osprey Nest Collapse - Rescue & Rebuild July 8, 20

The folks at Wildlife Rescue of East Hampton (WROEH.org) respond to a large osprey nest on Accabonac Harbor that fell over with chicks inside. Mother and father osprey stood nearby in a panic until help arrived. Within a couple hours the babies had been transported to a vet, checked out, returned (two returned) to a newly built platform and nest where mom and dad waited for their return.
Here's the whole process from beginning to end. Enjoy, and remember, WILDLIFE MATTERS!!!

Bad news on a French Newspaper

IN ALASKA, A FEMALE BEAR FATALLY PUNCHED BY A BOEING 737

The female, along with her cub, were run over by the landing plane. The mother is deceased. The device is damaged.

A Saturday November 14th unlike any other, in Alaska (United States). As a Boeing 737 landed at Yakutat Airport, a bear and her calf suddenly crossed the runway, despite prior checks.

A collision ensued, reported by Anchorage Daily News. The story ends well for the passengers on the flight, as no one was injured despite the shock. A reactor in the left wing of the aircraft was still damaged.

However, the adult animal did not survive. Unlike her two-year-old cub, who was affected but now out of danger.

According to the local newspaper, this is not the first incident between a plane and an animal on the Yakutat runway.
