The audio is great also. Lots of bird calls, sounds of nature, even a train or two.

After the loss of the nest tree and the cam tree at Dale Hollow a couple of months before,

Bad news from Fulton, the Trio nest

viewtopic.php?p=369360#p369360

August 11, 2020 update. With very sad news from the Stewards, posting the following information about the Trio nest:

A derecho is a widespread, long-lived, straight-line wind storm that is associated with a fast-moving group of severe thunderstorms known as a mesoscale convective system. Derechos can cause hurricane-force winds, tornadoes, heavy rains, and flash floods.

This afternoon that storm brought winds that sheared the limbs supporting the TRIO NEST taking both the nest and the public cam down. That lonely limb left standing holds our research cam. We are grateful that the nest was finished for the season. We have been blessed to witness the Trio. They will build a new nest and we Stewards will continue to monitor their activity.

While this news came as a gut punch reality is the Eagles are flying free and no humans are injured. Our prayers tonight are for the many households that suffered the damages from DERECHO!
We will continue to follow the news from the Stewards. Please note The Trio eagles have had to rebuild before and they will again. The Stewards mentioned they will have to recover the public cam and hoping it is still functional but the 2021 observation season is doubtful. So very thankful this event occurred during the non-nesting season and the Trio eagles are flying.

my thoughts are with the Trio group.
We had a Derecho on May 8, 2009.
We lost power for 5 days, some people more than that.
Everything was shut down except Walgreens had a generator and so did one hotel.
Wings Crossed for everyone who was in the path of this storm.

Did anyone see this on the news?
A Bald Eagle attacked a drone and the drone fell into Lake Michigan?
:dunno:
It sounds like the Eagle won! :thumlft:
