Thank you for a great season of documentation. I found this nest this season after sunny and shadow hatched and enjoyed watching until the last day we saw the eagles.I am thankful I found this forum. You all do a wonderful job of documenting the play by play. I look forward to watching many more seasons of this nest. Til we meet again... :bye 1:

2020 Cam Maintenance Fund Drive Update

Hi everyone! I thought our Surrey Reserve adults Sur and Res had headed out in search of salmon on July 31st - but I guess they decided to wait a little bit. They visited the nest again this morning (August 4).

Do you also think it looks a bit as if they were making a heart?

Perhaps they know we haven't quite reached our goal.

First, thank you so much to everyone who donated! We've raised over $6000 in just a few days!

And, like Sur and Res, we have a ways to go.

I have been focusing a bit on nest adoptions to make sure those who have been planning to adopt a nest know that they can now do that for the coming year - but I also want to make sure everyone knows that there are many ways to support our work. We also need people who can post their observations occasionally or who can give $25 or $50, or join our monthly donor program at $10 or S20/month. There's a song I learned years ago with the line "Many drops can turn a mill, singly none, singly none." And I know that all of us working together can get this done.

Another wonderful season here at Delta. Thank you Jean, Sandy, Sue, Rose and everyone else I missed for your dedication and the countless hours you spent documenting every peep, screep, squee, call, movement and flight Shadow and Sunny and Trooper and Mom made. :grhug: Stay safe and healthy, soar high and with a full crop always. I really enjoy watching the cleaning so will look forward to that later this month. And of course I am already looking forward to next season when Mom and Trooper return and hopefully bless us with 2/3 eggs and then little fuzzy bobbles. Stay safe and healthy everyone :huggie:

5:28 am checked all the poles, towers and tree and didn't see any eagles. Not that I expected to see one; as habits die hard, wanted to check. Here the day begins at Delta with a look from the evergreens.

Wish to say a huge thank you to Jean for your guidance this nesting season. You are the best team leader and a big thanks to the rest of zoomer team, Rose, Sue, Joan, and Darlene, at Delta. It is such a joy to work with each of you. Watching Ma and Trooper raise Sunny and Shadow brings much enjoyment to me as each meet milestones in their development to preparing to be magnificent eagles and making their way in the world of eagles. In my heart, I want to believe Sunny found his/her way into growing into a fine eagle. Be safe, Ma, Trooper, Shadow as each of you soar off to the salmon runs. Hope each of you have full crops as you make your way. Know Shadow will learn great hunting skills from watching others. And to Ma and Trooper, I know your bond is true and complete as got to watch you perch together these last few days in the early mornings. Borrowing a phrase I saw the other day when a season ends: "With tears and cheers" I say goodbye. See you back in the fall as a new nesting season begins. :rh:
