Thank you, Ferenz, for starting the 2019-2020 nesting season here, and for the great pictures of the new pair who are settling in here.
Here's hoping that they have a good season!

I'm sure they will have a good season indeed, JudyB

In spite of their fairly northern location in the US, this has often been an early nest - and even though we have a new pair this year, they are sticking with that tradition - the new female laid what might be her first egg ever at 3:47 pm local time!
Getting ready
"What is going on down there??"
"Oh - that's what!"

Great pictures, Ferenz!
12:24 pm
Still a lot of snow in the nest!

I'm getting very good at just missing eggs being laid this year - they're reporting on Facebook that her second egg was laid at 12:11 pm today.

Not easy to see in this image from 12:21 pm, but Mom is rolling two eggs before settling back down.

We have a third egg! It was laid at about 2:43 pm, and I haven't seen it yet, but watching her turn the eggs, it seemed as if there were indeed more than two there.
Three Eggs! (30 seconds)
This is the first year for this pair at the nest, and from her coloring we suspect she may be a young female nesting for the first time - so I'm quite surprised to see her lay three eggs.
