My heart was broken in so many pieces that I had to take some time to put it back together :cry1: but with the help of all of you here I’ve been able to do it. Thanks everyone, love you all! :rh:

Pascale, thank you for your writing. I have felt many of those emotions and thought many of those things, but thank you for sharing your heart by putting it all into words, describing the special little eaglet we all loved.

Philjo, thank you for the extra photos - they are all beautiful. I have not been able to read the In Memoriam pages yet, but I will soon, my friend. Thank you for doing this special tribute area for our beloved eagles.

Mimi, such a beautiful photo.

Good night to all.

From Lady Hawk ~~

E14 ~ you are the light in all of our lives. Never did I imagine we would lose you so soon and our hearts are broken. Your candle burned brightly for 26 days on earth and it lit up the skies & filled all our hearts with such love & joy. 💕

Our hearts rejoiced when you came into the world. Seeing you grow each & every day, our hearts were bursting with pride on each milestone you hit. From leaving the nest cup, to taking your first steps, from bonking Dad to hugging your egg sibling, from moving sticks, trying to self feed to seeing Mom, Dad and the nest tree reflected in your eyes - we were there with you every step of the way.

E14 ~ your light has now gone out from this world but it is forever shining brightly in the heavens. You are gone from us but not forgotten. You will live on forever in all our hearts. I will see you again little one, when it is my time to fly up to the heavens. But until then, I will hold your memory close to my heart remembering how blessed I am to have had you in my life. I will love you forever sweet baby. 💖

E14 ~ December 19 2019- January 15 2020 💔💔

My friends, it is hard to convey in words all that E14 meant to us. I was thinking of words that represented E14 in my mind, and this is what I came up with. My nickname for her was "Feisty 14er", so here is my "thoughts poem". :rh: :brknhrt: :rh:

F funny
fierce
feed me, food coma

E energetic
entertaining
E14, aka Spunky, Sassy Pants, Feisty 14er, and JOY

I independent
inquisitive
imprinting immitator

S sassy
special
smart

T talker
tracking
thankful

Y young
yellow clown feet
YOU will always be in our hearts, Sweet 14

14 So adorably precious, so loved, so suddenly gone

At this exact time, a week, 7 days ago that you left us little angel and I have not yet apologized for not having understood or not having wanted to see the too sad reality.

Obviously I waited until 5:06 am or more than 3:36 after the flight of your mind to finally accept that you were no longer in the nest close to your Mom Harriet and that unlike Egbert that you kept warm under you until the end, your shell was already empty. Sorry E14.

Sorry also, Bonnie and Lanie, because when you posted your messages very early this awful morning E14 was already gone.

Just a moment to light a small candle that will remain lit in your memory until the end of time.

The empty nest, the place where the spirits of Ozzie, E3, E5 and E14 meet.

Death is nothing

I just walked into the next room.
I am me, you are you.
What we were for each other, we still are.
Give me the name you always gave me.
Talk to me like you always have.
Don't use your different tone, don't look solemn or sad.
Keep laughing at what made us laugh together.
Pray, smile, think of me, pray for me.
Let my name always be spoken at home as it always has been.
Without emphasis of any kind, without trace of shade.
Life means what it has always meant.
She is what she always been.
The string is not cut.
Why would i be out of your mind
Just because I'm out of your sight?
I am waiting for you.
I'm not far, just across the road.
You see, all is well.

A beautiful post, Philjo. Yes, a week has gone by, and our hurt, sadness, and grief still remain. Comfort is offered by our community of eagle friends who laugh and cry together; through poems, pictures, videos, and thoughts reminding us of the JOY that little E14 brought to us all. :brknhrt: :grhug: :rh:

Dear eagle friends,
Thank you each for sharing the words from your hearts. Laniebelle, Philjo, Pascale, Nestfriend, Peggy, Kitcat, anyone I missed and all who post such beautiful tributes. These all help to fill the emptiness and soothe the ache of our loss. Our little 14 was such a special eaglet for us, it doesn't seem fair that her time with us was way too short. Your wonderful poems, pics, tributes and words bring comfort and give us memories to hold close in our hearts and last us our lifetime.
We are family. We are eagle strong.
:grhug:

We love you and miss you E14.

Kinda humorous sidenote:
Yesterday while I was writing a new poem I'm working on about E14, the tears wouldn't stop. Wetting the pages, smearing the ink kind of crying. While revising, the tears subsided, after some hours I was ok. So I thought. Boyfriend came home, all proud I started to read poem out loud to him. Couldn't get the first line out! Sobbing like a baby, nose running, all choked up while reading. Boyfriend was polite and did not look at me like I was crazy. (Actually, he was also very shocked and saddened at E14's passing). I finally finished reading and sobbing, and I'm pretty sure I saw a tear in his eyes too.
Silly E14!

MinnaNH, Lanie and all the E9's bunch i am never able to speak about E14 or one of the other little ones who passed during these 3 years i spent here with you.
Tears, losing my voice that's all i can do so it's why sometime i writes so many lines :rh:

But it's also the same when i remember the good time with E9 or some others because they have a life elsewhere away from me :rh:
I miss them so much

I hope we will be able to read your new poem soon Minna ;)

"E9/14's" bunch seems good for me now, what do you think of it ? :grhug:

Morning Philjo and all,
Yes, it is hard to speak of E14, I was surprised how much I cried reading the poem out loud. But I had to laugh at myself, and the smile that brought me in my sadness reminded me that it's okay to cry.
Have to work today, my poem is kind of long so I hope to post it this evening. And I've been wracking my brain to come up with a special song for E14, I will find the right one as soon as she lets me know!
Have a peaceful day everyone. SEH.
