Res was on the nest and I tried to zoom in on her tail. She did not cooperate for most of the visit, but I got some shots as she was flying out.
My initial thought is that this may be blood, but probably not hers; it seems more likely that it's from a food item.
That said, I'll continue watching to see if things change.

Checking the dvr (which I didn't do before my previous post)
Mom Res arrived on the nest at 8:43 am - here's what I got of her tail as she landed.
Sur arrived a minute or so later. They did some in and out, and some work on the nest, and some standing and looking.
Res left at 8:54 am, and Sur left a minute later, and then Res returned as he was leaving, and I got the pictures I posted earlier.

Continuing from dvr....
Sur was back on the nest at 9:17, moving sticks around. They seem to be adding quite a few evergreen branches now. Res arrived to join him at 9:22 am, with what looks like a large piece of bark (she's on the left).
They both worked on that briefly, then moved to the nest cup area. Definitely a bit windy up there, as you can see by their feathers!
Sur looked up, called, and flew off at 9:24 am; I think Res was tracking him, but stayed on the nest. She continued s&l until 9:35 when she flew off too quickly for me to get a view of her tail.

Continuing....
One of them was back at 9:45 - Sur; just saw his right eye. I think he brought a branch and placed it. He left at 9:48, after the usual s&l.
And then someone arrived at 9:54 - Sur again, with another stick; I saw his upper tail as he landed.
I'm not going to try for exact times - he left at some point, and the nest was empty for a bit, then Res arrived around 10:15; she immediately began placing a stick, so probably brought it, though the angle wasn't good for confirming that (or seeing her tail).
She checked out the nest bowl - which did show off her tail; I'm going to try to get some pictures of that from full screen.
This one is blurry, but shows more drops of whatever it is further up on the tail (maybe).
She moved another big stick, and then flew off around 10:20 am.
Sur was back around 10:30, and left around 10:40 am.
It's now 1:17 - and as far as I can tell, the nest has been empty since then!

JudyB asked me to post this "helpful hint" to aid in searching the DVR for a specific event on the cam threads in case you haven't come across it already. (Sorry, I was supposed to do this 2 weeks ago and forgot!)
NOTE: As you move the cursor over the red line on the DVR, the thumbnail will blink. This sometimes makes it difficult to catch all the action - particularly if the action is very short in duration.
However, the blinking seems to diminish quite a bit if you move the cursor quickly back and forth (or forward and back) approximately one inch at a time along the red line. The second and third times over the line the thumbnail doesn't blink as much. Even though you are repeating your action, in the long run it is quicker and easier to see the action.

12:58 am Checked the dvr back to JudyB's post and there was a visit from 4:34-5:04 pm. Sur and Res took turns coming and going, working on the nest and lots of S&L. I caught a shot of Res's tail and it seems to be free of whatever was on her tail.
Sorry, no videos until I get around to cleaning my hard drive again - down to 18 GB.

Good morning, everyone!
8:24 am
Adult landed, calling.
I'm pretty sure this is Res, and she brought food which she is now busily eating.
I am also not seeing anything on her tail this morning - though I'm noticing that her tail feathers are not as smoothly rounded at the end as I'm used to seeing them. Going in on North in case I get a chance for a closer look.

Sur came in after a while, waited until Res was done, and had some leftovers, though she didn't leave much. We have at least 20 minutes of closeups of Res's tail with the part of interest covered by her wing tip, but I think I got a couple of glimpses, and didn't see anything other than normal white feathers. I did also get a bit of a look at Sur's eye.
Here are a couple of pictures of Res's tail.
It's looking straighter across at the end here, as I'm used to seeing it.
A bit fuzzy because she's moving, but I don't see any stains or signs of damaged feathers.
Same here:
I do have some other nice moments that I want to share - but it's lunch time here, so I'll be back to continue with pictures from the visit.

The North cam is pixelating badly; I took another quick look through the dvr, and I think the only other image I wanted to share was this one, which reminded me that we will need to be very careful while we're zooming that we don't intrude on the privacy of the people living in the newest block of buildings - it's very easy to be focused on the eagle we're watching, and not notice the background.
I'm now going to reboot the North cam, and then review the pictures from the South cam.
I did check the dvr, and did not see any additional visits.

Re: Surrey Reserve 2019-2020 Observation and Discussion
From the dvr of the morning visit.
One thing I was noticing while watching this live, and again while reviewing the video looking for photo ops is how comfortable Res and Sur are with each other. He arrived at 8:47, while she was eating, and she looked up briefly, then went back to eating. He puttered around on the nest, occasionally glancing her way in case she might be done - but never made a move toward her food, and she never made a defensive, mini-mantling gesture that I saw (though I'm sure they have lots of more subtle gestures that I wouldn't recognize). When she stepped away, he immediately moved over to check for leftovers (I don't think there was much) - but the rest of the time he was just there, not really protecting her exactly, but she seemed to look around less often while he was there.
This is just after Sur landed - Res looked up at him, then relaxed; it's a closer look than we usually have at the feathers sticking up that we're calling a cowlick.
This is sort of an ID shot - you can see Sur's darker right eye, and Res's cowlick. You can also see how close he was, without her worrying that he would try to grab her meal.
Though there was a point where I wondered if he was asking her if she was done yet.
The answer was no (well, actually she ignored him and continued eating, but I think he got the idea - he backed off and moved a couple of sticks).

This is a nice look at Sur's ragged neckline. His neckline can look much smoother - but I don't think I've ever seen Res's look this ragged (though she sometimes has a little gap in the white feathers - and his is sometimes much smaller - which is when I can't tell them apart based on that alone).
Res's right eye - and Sur checking for leftovers.
Sur's left eye - which looks very similar to both of Res's eyes, though I think the ridge/eyebrow? over the eye is a little more prominent.
Res's left eye - not quite the same angle, but close.
Res flew off at 8:56 am.

After Res left, Sur flew up to the little perch above the nest.
A closer look at Sur's right eye.
And you can really see the difference between his two eyes here (and I'm really glad I'm not this close to him - that is a fierce look!).
He flew off at 8:58 am.
