6:30 pm Checked the DVR and found a late afternoon visit from both. Res arrived at 4:28 followed by Sur. Both immediately tackled the wayward stick from his morning and Sur made short work of it by breaking it as he forced it to the side of the nest. Some digging and moving of fluff for several minutes happened with the odd bit of beaking each other in the process. They didn't stay long, Res left first and then Sur. Both gone by 4:35 pm.

I sat down at my computer at 11:09 - and a minute later an eagle landed!

I'm pretty sure it's Sur - and he's still there, standing and looking, at 11:22 pm.

North is pixelating a little, but still fairly clear, so I'll wait a bit to reboot.

And now I need to do something else. Sorry & bye!

Added - he flew off just after I posted - maybe 11:24 am.

Good afternoon and thank you for the "great stick battle shot" I watched and enjoyed every minute of it. It's amazing to me that the two of them work so much in sync with one another trying to place one stick .. and a BIG stick it is...lol. I think that is why they are so successful in raising their chicks.
I didn't see any action in the nest when I was there. :bye 1:

Good to see you here, Beth!

In on North doing a bit of a look around before rebooting (no visits since the one I mentioned earlier).

There doesn't seem to be anyone at the far perch.

This is the far perch we usually see from the South cam when it's set to a wide view - no one there either.

I like leaves - but have to say we have a much nicer view of the water when the leaves are gone.

And the North cam was only zoomed a little for the last screenshot - so I'm guessing the eagles could see the nest from any of those trees in the distance.

I was going to peek at the cams before heading to bed - and they both just went offline. I also cannot connect with either cam directly, so I suspect there's a power outage at the site. I am not seeing one listed, but it's often a while before they show up on the outage map (https://www.bchydro.com/power-outages/a ... e-map.html) - and when I just went back to get the URL for the outage map, I'm seeing a new outage in the area where I think the nest is located:

I know the nest is fairly close to the US border - and fairly close to the water - so I'm guessing it's in this area. I'll post in Cams Down and send an email to Ken.

Late here - goodnight, all! :offtobed:
