Hancock Wildlife Foundation needs a few things: We will give full Tax-deduction receipt.

1. An old Pickup -- preferably small size, to pull small trailer and eagle nests etc. Needs to be reasonably reliable but not fancy. Preferably auto but stick OK.

2. Need another small two-wheel trailer -- 8 to 12 foot box.

It just occurred to me that perhaps someone has one sitting around the yard taking up space -- we could give full tax receipt (Canada Only) for it. Wonderful.

Bad news at Orange :(
Found in the 367 Collins Falcon Watchers Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/groups/367collinsfalcons/
2019-12-03_10h19_30.jpg
they will search for Gaia again during a couple of days :luck:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wfQ5tKIZ0lM

Just an update 2019-12-04
For those unaware... Gaia hasn't been seen since two days after she fledged. I thought I heard her a few days later, but there have been no confirmed ground sightings. The folks who are knowledgeable about this nest say that it is highly likely, all but certain, that Gaia has had an accident and is no longer with us. Revised to add: Based on comments by the project researcher, there is still hope, and she will continue to search for Gaia. We may never know for sure.
Here is a highlights video to celebrate Gaia, where she and Pluto are adorable, Nov 11 at 38 days old. 💔💖

If this is true that's a bad news as orange Falcons nest used to have a very high survival rate for hatched chicks :rh:

I loved to see her grow with Pluto. I miss her already!

Scary incident for Harriet & M15 as drone flew near their nest a few days ago.

From Lady Hawk
A drone is seen flying around the nest tree this afternoon and hovering while M15 was in the nest incubating the eggs. M is very concerned about this intrusion in the air as he watches it flying by. Then it stops and hovers looking right into the nest before flying off.

It is illegal to fly a drone near an eagle nest and the USFWS prohibits this type of activity. It can lead to the nest being disturbed and possibly nest abandonment. The Pritchetts are aware of this activity and will be looking into this matter. Ground crew and photographers will also be watchful for any repeated attempts by the owner of this drone. This is very disturbing to say the least and Harriet and M do not need anymore disturbances around their nest especially with the chicks hatching in less than 3 weeks from now. Thank you for watching!

a juvie came home yesterday in Smola. there are discussions whether if it's Melle or more probably a last year juvie - not Elida because size wise it's a male.

Anyway it's a great sight. he looks so comfortable here.

he's still there at 7:22am. it's still very dark in Norway.
