Good afternoon, everyone - and thank you all for posting!

I just checked back to Bev's post on the dvr, and caught a very quick visit by Sur at 9:01 am; saw the dark spots on the upper tail as he flew off.

Good morning, everyone, and thanks for the reports, video and weather!

8:49 am
I checked back to Bev's post and did not see an eagles on the dvr. There was a chickadee visiting the nest, but hard to get a screenshot.

I just watched the video (thanks, Bill!) - it looked to me as if Sur brought the bird to the nest, and then Res arrived and claimed it, though there was a bit of beaking before Sur backed off and left! Nice leisurely meal for Res - and I think Sur got a few bites before she arrived!

The feathers stand out on a gray day.

(Snow here in Maine, with a coating of freezing rain - not my idea of a nice fall day!)

Hi everyone! Someone was on the nest around noon, working on leftovers - I'm thinking Sur - that bit of gray is not where Res's cowlick is, and Sur had a dark spot earlier, but hard to tell.

He left at 12:27, and I didn't get a good look, but thought it was Sur's upper tail.

Lots more feathers in the nest when he got done.

It's now 5:38 pm, and I didn't see any addition visits on the dvr.

Good night, everyone. :offtobed:
