Scott, your mind is not playing tricks. He is there for you to let you know that he is content. You are the bestest pet owner, remember that. :)

What a beautiful litter, Iona. :rh:

I agree with Carolyn, Scott. I call Zeke by names of past dogs I still have engraved in my heart. It takes a while for me, to not see things out the corner of my eye that is long familiar. I like to think like Carolyn too, that they are letting us know they are still around.

Judi, wonderful for you guys to see family after such a long time. :thumlft:
I hope BigE is able to be comfortable and enjoy your love. :)

I've checked in on the FL nests & there is nest activity. :hooray:

:bye 1:

A bit more on that subject Naoma and Scott.....After Gus Gus passed away (my daughter's golden retriever age 9 of cancer, yuck)....Catherine's mother-in-law on multiple occasions "saw" him running in the yard and playing happily. She is sure of it and I am sure of what she saw. His presence is still there albeit a bit "invisible".

I too sometimes mess up names on pets...and if I remember correctly, which I do, my mom tended to call us kids (3 of us) by each other's names and sometimes the dog. :) We responded no matter what.
Good Night,

May i add Something ?
I know how it can be so sad too.

If it can help
In last February 22 and 25, B13 and B12 (1 and 4 days old) the 2 eaglets from "Berry College" passed away :cry1:
They also disapeared from the nest as now they are flying with their Mom
The next month, March 8, Dad Berry was in the nest and took off as IrishEyes took this following pic. There was nothing in the nest nor in Dad's talons but as quick i saw the pic, i was sure that one or may be two eaglets were in the nest under him to say we stay among you and will be with you each time you will think of us. We will wait for you. :( :bye 1: :grhug:

Oh Philjo, you brought me to tears....happy ones. That is exactly what I meant. There are many other instances I can recount to all of you including a visit by my mom to my daughter after she passed away, and many pets, as well as some other gifts that would confound some folks, but....that picture says it all.

Yes, you added something great!

Two little bitties sitting in the nest,
waiting for Ma and Pa, seemingly bereft.
They are there for sure, just look at the picture,
smile and know that there is more than we "see"......

Just look by faith not sight.
