Hi Carolyn , I highlighted it was before the Storm :) Pretty positive 3. I think Bev got the first 2 fish deliveries , I might have the same delivery as Judy not sure I was trying to figure out the time and I thought the last fish delivered was 11 am . I took that scap at 10:56 am MT and I scapped it 3:51 hrs back on DVR .
I have not seen any Ospreys , some lady on youtube thinks she did , but i was thinking she saw what Judy posted. :dunno:
I saw this bird flying by about a half hour ago i guess 6:49 pm AT

Thanks, Heather, for catching more of what may be the third delivery the morning of the storm - and I really couldn't guess the time since I wasn't sure when the cam went down, and sometimes had trouble making the more detailed timeline visible - and thanks for catching the fly-by of some sort of bird. I've had the cam up quite a bit today, but missed that.

And carolyn, I also think they have left the area. It was a powerful storm - but osprey are very strong fliers, and they may have taken advantage of a lull in the wind to head to somewhere more sheltered - or have left the morning after the storm, before the cam was back online. I expect that the person who thought she saw them after the storm was fooled by the way the dvr was working, as I was initially.

It's now 7:34 pm. The Outages page reports the number of customers without power is down to 81,670. And I hope Bev and her family get their power back soon. Goodnight, all.

WOW~ Thanks so much Judy , Carolyn , Heather, Ferenz for keeping watch here and all your wonderful s'caps , observations and posts ! :grhug: Happy to see you Heather ~ :)
I was happy that Dad showed up on the nest wth a fish ..making sure that Handel wasn't around ... thanks Judy and Heather...

My brother was at the nest this evening and the folks there said they didn't see an Osprey around today!

I agree with your Judy... I think Dad and Handel took shelter the morning of the storm ~ and left the next day when the cam was down ..

I got this as soon as we had our power back the nest looking great .. so thankful for that ..

Hi Bev! So glad to see you again, and I bet you were not bored at all, just busy. I had said that I thought they left too that AM and my husband felt that they used the storm as a back wind to get them out of Dodge. I agreed with him. I also agree with Judy that the person who thought they saw them was confused by the DVR possibly.

At any rate, I am glad your brother looked Bev and feel secure that they are well on their ways (two ways) to their new places to be. And we wish them godspeed.

No Heather you did not confuse me, I confused myself! I am good at that. So no worries and I am so glad to see you here.
Sweet dreams all....

A Song for our Osprey

Longing to know where you are but it cannot be,
we only know that wherever it is,
safely you rest for sure.

Parents will come back safely next Spring,
hopefully at least, and join again in the joy,
or raising osprey chicks triumphantly.

We know it is to come, no waiting on our part,
we live our lives each day, knowing in Spring,
will be a new start.
