I re-booted as well, Bev - the presets on the SPTZ are still off kilter....

Oh well - I guess that happened when the lens covers came off - but it seems worth it...

I should shake a leg - I think I've been sitting for too long..LOL

As Jean said, lots of rigging. I’m in awe at how he knows just which ropes to pull to move. He makes it look easy :mihihi: thanks for the awesome virtual experience of climbing up a 100’ tree.
Hi Marianne the nest is 175 ft up and the tree i believe is 220 ft tall :w00t:
Heather, thanks. That is HIGH :w00t: no way could I be up there. Heights give me the hibby gibbys.
It is the Penthouse of Nests lol

Oh - are you saying that nothing happens when you use a preset - or that the cam goes somewhere, but not where it belongs? :chin:

When I saw your posts, I thought the cam didn't move when you clicked a preset - which is a different issue - and is why I called Matt in a panic and asked him to wait while I checked the presets. :oops2:

I wouldn't be at all surprised if the cams were moved a bit during the cleaning - Matt had a lot of trouble getting the South cover off. There is something that might help - I used to have to do it at Lafarge a lot because the vibration from the building where the cam was set moved the cam - and I can't remember the name of it, but will add that later. Let me know if you'd like me to give that a try for one or both cams - shouldn't hurt and might help.

And redoing the presets takes a bit of time, but isn't hard - and I'm hoping to add instructions for that in the zoomer area this week.

And I've remembered the name - it's either calibration or recalibration, and returns the cam to where it was originally set - which generally is where it was when we did the presets.

And I should also step away from the computer for a little while - thank you all for your coverage here!

Hi Judy - just back for a quick check and sorry about the confusion.

The cam doesn't go to where it belongs - it goes somewhere else which is not the correct pre-set... not where one is expecting it to go....

Thanks for today, Judy..... :thumlft:

ADD: 3:11pm There was at least one pre-set on the NPTZ [BSB] which was not the same branch as on the BSB pre-set on the SPTZ - so maybe it's a good time for us all to take a look anyway...?
