Good morning, everyone!
Maintenance at Harrison Mills today - climbers hope to reach the site around 11-11:30 pacific time, and it will take maybe an hour for them to set their lines and climb up to the nest (it's a BIG tree). Please feel free to join us on the Harrison Mills forum to see the action and help post - viewtopic.php?f=11&p=236886#p236843

6:35 am - Good Morning Delta 2! I am logging into the cams
7:07 am - I am now off the cams.
As I looked around all I saw were some small black birds...lots on this one tree that is to the left of the far right tower And some on the center tower And assume these are larger birds down at the water...there were three on the right and then one flew off to the left Looks like a beautiful day in Delta! Everyone have a great day!

8:49 am - Good Morning Delta 2! I am going to log into the cams for a quick look around.
8:59 am - found someone (maybe a hawk) on this small tower and then they flew off to the right and I think this is them on this pole to the right.

9:18 am - found this bird on one of the evergreens....they flew over a little to the right and then were joined by another bird.
9:21 am - I am now off the cams. Everyone have a great day!
No eagles sighted out there this morning. They are probably still up north getting their fill of salmon.9:21 am - I am now off the cams. Everyone have a great day!

6:35 am logging into both cams to have a look around early this morning.
Checked all around and no sighting of any birds other than a flock of fast flying birds around the neighbor's tower. Looking forward to the morning, afternoon or evening with one of us zoomers is just on checking out the sights and an eagle flies by the cam. Or it could be a tower check to find an eagle quietly perched. It will be time for a happy dance.
When will Ma or Trooper find their way back home? Could be a three or four weeks before that happens but thoughts are with them as they soon will be making their way back to the Delta.
7:03 am logging off both cams.

6:44 am - Good Morning Delta 2! I am going to log into the cams.
6:49 am - we have a pretty large bird on the first tower.....hard to get a good view as the IR comes on as I zoom all the way in. Not seeing a white head though. 6:54 am - a few minutes later the IR stays off but still not able to tell what this is out there.

Re: Delta2 2018 -2019 Observation and Discussion Thread
7:05 am - this large bird flew off the first tower as another large bird came flying in from the left and landed on top of the first tower.
The one that was on the tower originally flew off to the right as the other one landed up top. I do believe these were both hawks and not eagles.
Re: Delta2 2018 -2019 Observation and Discussion Thread
7:07 am - a s'cap from the E Cam gives us a little more light and we can see the chest on this bird is lighter than the rest of it so that is why I am assuming this is a hawk. S/he flew off to the left and I think it was them that was on the tower that is on the left of the flag pole.
7:33 am - I am now off the cams. Everyone have a great day!
7:13 am - The hawk eventually flew off of this tower and probably headed for the trees as it had started raining at this point.
I took another look around and found no birds perched anywhere. 7:33 am - I am now off the cams. Everyone have a great day!

1:59pm..........IN on both cams........

Small bird on top of this pole to the north.

2:13pm.........We can see the bluff nest today...........maybe some of the leaves have fallen off the tree making this possible. Or maybe the lighting is just right too.

2:20pm......There is someone perched on the distant evergreen tree......guessing it is another hawk. We can barely see this tree now with all the leaves and branches that have grown in front of our view.

8:16 am - Good Morning Delta 2! I am logging into the cams
8:24 am - looks like we have a hawk on the far right tower. We always see the hawks before Ma & Trooper get back. Using their territory while they are away. 8:38 am - seeing some white here at this tree that is left of the Bluff Eagle's nest....normally a spot where one of them perches but I'm sure it's not an eagle back this early
I haven't seen any movement.

Re: Delta2 2018 -2019 Observation and Discussion Thread
8:52 am - not seeing any other birds perched out there....well, maybe some small ones way down on the lower part of the center tower. Came around to the tape that I missed on the back side of the tree....darn it....wish I had remembered that as it blocks out view looking down at the bay and sometimes that distant tree where eagles do perch.
8:54 am - I am now off the cams. We are one more day closer to our eagles returning. Everyone have a great day!Re: Delta2 2018 -2019 Observation and Discussion Thread
9:05 am - had YouTube still up and the sound up and heard someone at the nest.....looks like a woodpecker...I think.

Hi Jean and Sue, I just had to look the ID of the woodpecker. From what I can see, looks like a hairy woodpecker. Pretty bird.
