2:25pm - It's always good to see Ch'aak' & Anaaski close together while they look around their nest tree area...

3:25pm - Anaaski has a large crop! (red dot)

Anaaski lays down next to Ch'aak' and both of them are panting to try to cool off!

4:27pm - So good to see that Anaaski & Ch'aak' have full crops tonight!

5:35am Papa delivers what seems to be a partial fish. Anaaski is first to claim it!

Anaaski stays in a mantle mode...but, maybe this could also be a submission mode...
Anaaski senses that Ch'aak' is right behind him/her. (Yellow dot is Ch'aak's head)

While Anaaski continues to mantle the fish, Ch'aak' continues to peek under Anaaski...so, Papa decides to leave the nest.

5:36am - After Papa left the nest, Annaski starts to take fish bites, but...

Ch'aak' makes a bold move towards the fish and claims it!

Anaaski slowly moves aside while Ch'aak' moves the fish to continue eating it.

6:20am - Ch'aak' & Anaaski see something exciting...

And here comes Mama...with a partial fish!
(Ch'aak' & Anaaski did not rush in to claim this fish...)

Mama steps slowly away from the fish and...Ch'aak' & Anaaski continue to sit there looking at the fish!
(Guess Ch'aak' & Anaaski prefer whole fish...?)

continued: Ch'aak, Anaaski and Mama are still not moving towards the fish...

6:21am - Mama finally starts the feeding and Anaaski reached over to take the first bite that Mama offered.
(Anaaski gets a few more pieces of fish and then...

6:22am - Ch'aak' finally moved towards the fish and then Anaaski moved away from Ch'aak'.

6:35am - After a slow morning feeding, Ch'aak' lays down and we can now see Anaaski's big crop.

Hi Journi Sorry I didn't get these s'caps posted earlier. Watching & recording whle I was doing the laundry

I was watching the nest for awhile this afternoon; had to rewind to find a parent in the nest. Some of these s'caps might have been taken at the same time as yours.

Just before Papa arrived with some prey both eaglets stretched their wings out; GG4 then GG5 overtop of GG4.

Papa brought some prey in and there was a mad dash by both eaglets. GG5 managed to grad it first then mantled it for awhie.

After Papa flew off GG4 made her move to grab the prey but GG5 didn't make a fuss; he just turned away to the back of the nest.

9:45am - The wind has really picked up and the tree is really swaying
where we can now only see Ch'aak' & Anaaski's feet!

GG4 starts to eat the prey then picks it up and moves it to the front of the nest.

GG5 has a poop while GG4 picks at the prey. I didn't see any green!

GG5 was trying to expel a pellet while GG4 eats.

GG5 still trying to expel the pellet while GG4 poops.

GG5 successfully expels the pellet.

GG4 continues to eat.
