Continuing....

The second visit that I observed was at 6:41 am.

And while I was looking for that, I noticed that Dee was eating something - so I checked back and found that at around 6:22 am, Ess was taking a break from working on the piece of fish, and Dee started moving closer....

And then Dee reached in and grabbed it, and took it to the other end of the nest.

Ess didn't put up a fight (though it looked as if Dee had to pull fairly hard to get the item out from under Ess's foot), and it looked as if Dee was finding some meat still left - so good for all!

Continuing on to the 6:41 visit....

We have another brief detour....

At 6:39 am, Dee was still working on the first food item, and this time it was Ess who was moving closer.

Dee advised Ess to back off...

and Ess did, for the moment, but then while Dee was preoccupied with trying to swallow a large chunk, Ess grabbed - and a little tugging match followed.

And Ess got what was left - not a large chunk, but apparently still containing some meat.

Continuing....

We finally get to the 6:41 delivery! First, a nice look at Sur's tail as he lands - Res also has the tiny dark areas at the very top - but the big dark spot further down is an indicator for Sur, at least until he replaces that feather!
20190619_012.jpg

Dee was well-positioned to meet Sur, and Ess still had a bit from the last meal - so Dee got this delivery, which looks to me like a small mammal - maybe mouse? Or rabbit?
20190619_014.jpg

Ess did come over to see if Dee needed help, but I think Dee wasn't interested. You can see the little bit of the first item by the edge of the nest (red arrow), and Sur is standing in a way that we can see the lighter, tattered looking feather on his back (circled). And he still has a smudge on the top of his head.
20190619_013.jpg

Sur left a minute or two later, Ess returned to the leftovers from the first delivery, and Dee started working on the new food item.

Ess moved in closer to Dee at 6:54 and may have grabbed a bit of the food, but I think Dee got most of it.

Good morning everyone. Thanks so much for adding all the visits for us to see, I went to the one where they got the little mouse/rabbit and watched for Ess to grab the food away from Dee, I didn't get to see it happen but got to look at your shots Judy. :)
and that was interesting.

At 10:08 I am sure it was Res, she came in with a fish, the drops are so quick now its hard to keep track, there was no black smudge on the head and if it was her, her leg sure looks good. She is standing on it well. Ess got the fish and Dee doesn't seem too upset about it so he must be full. Its a nice cool day for them today, I see Dee was puffed up so maybe a bit cool.

Hi everyone!

I've been watching while not at the computer and saw two food deliveries, at

10:05:55

10:59:04

The first one was a small fish (maybe a bullhead); the second was delivered by Sur but I didn't see what it was. I think Dee got both. I have something I need to do now, but put the full time with seconds so there's more chance of finding them again (though I've discovered the time can be off by a bit from one computer to another) - and I'll try to be back later with more details.

Bye!

Added - As Beth said in the previous post (which I missed while I was posting), the visit was at 10:08, not 10:05 - I'm not as good at seeing tiny numbers as I once was. And it was Res, and she is moving well! And it was Ess that got the fish, and Dee that was looking with intent at Mom's toes, just in case there was another fish hidden there, just before Mom left. So about all I got right was that there was a delivery! Here's the video:

:vid: Mom Delivers (30 seconds)

Second addition:

I did better on the second visit - it was indeed Sur who made the delivery (smudge on head, yellow/gray around eye):
20190619_019.jpg

And it's Dee on the left who has it.
20190619_020.jpg

I continued watching for a while, and Dee kept her/his back to the cam the whole time so I never did see what the item might be (Dad delivered from the cam side, sort of blocking the view then, too).

Thanks for the info on the delivery a little after 10 am, Beth - I was watching on my iPad so not easy to see details.

I just did a quick look back and found a delivery at 12:31 pm - am going to check on that first.

This looks like Res to me - white around the eye, white tail - and happily moving very well. I'll add a video shortly.

This shows her eye and you can sort of see one of the white stripes on her back - as well as the nice big fish that Ess claimed!
20190619_015.jpg

This is a good look at her upper tail.
20190619_016.jpg

And it's hard to get a good picture of Ess's tail, but Dee's is looking fairly black - and I did see enough to be pretty sure it's Ess with the fish.

As a follow-up to the previous post, at 1:10 pm, Res dashed over and grabbed what was left of the fish. Ess had pretty much stopped eating at that point, so didn't object when Dee took the rest.

Another delivery - I was getting a bit concerned, but the adults are really doing a good job today!

This appeared to be Sur, with a good sized fish that was claimed by Dee.
20190619_022.jpg

It wasn't quite as big as it appeared on the South cam - I think the seagull wing got caught up in the tangle of claws going after the fish.
20190619_023.jpg

This gives a better look at Ess's tail feathers as he/she looks after Dad, and there's one place in the video where there's a good look at Dee's tail feathers. The video shows the view from the North cam followed by the view from the South cam - Dee provides a good look at the fish from the South cam at the very end.

Your welcome Judy, That is a nice big Bullhead. Sur just made it to the nest when the catch was grabbed..lol. Thanks so much for all your video's Judy. I am not quite up on all the names are so please bare with me. I thank all of you for the information you send along. :)

Added: I find it hard to catch the deliveries to Judy, I have gone back many times and not caught them coming in but I do see Ess or Dee with a fish or some other prey.

I agree, Beth - this 12-hour dvr makes it really hard to see what's happening!

It's now 4:46 pm, and I have been away from the computer from time to time but mostly watching since my last post and haven't seen any visits.

Not sure if I'll be back tonight - if not, goodnight, all!

Added -

There was another visit at 17:13:28 - not sure who brought it or what it was, but I think Dee got it.

G’night.....

Was having a quick check and glad that I did... food was brought into the nest then one of them took the food away but soon realized it woud be better if it got fed. They both got some bites.
