Good Morning Everyone
I am sorry i have not been updating regularly here; our community has been threatened by a large wildfire so i have been distracted; we were also evacuated for 2 weeks. With the drought and little rain two big fires continue to grow in my area (Northern Alberta Canada).
Lots of activity at the NCTC nest and we have worked hard to keep this document updated here is a link

Hope had a forced fledge during the early morning hours of June 16 2019.
He attempted to fly up to the lookout post just nest side and he missed and fell off the nest.
These unfortunate events happened at 139 am so his forced fledge happend under darkness
I happened to be recording here is the video link.

Hope is 11 weeks old (as of yesterday)
Just before 9 am ... Hope returned to the nest; his first visit home after his adventure
Hope looks no worse for the wear ... his landing on the nest was a bit hard but since then he has taken off from the attic looking graceful and strong.
255 pm
Hope is currently perched above the nest in that area we call the attic; he is peeping and calling for breakfast.

Morning NCTC Friends
Over the next few days I will be working on updating this thread.
It has been a busy season off the nest for me, which has limited my ability to keep this journal updated regularly. Our region had a very bad forest fire, which required my community to evacuate for 2 weeks. The Chuckegg Forest Fire started on May 12, 2019 and it is now being held although we still have our smoky days conditions have improved. Some of our neighbors lost their homes so it has been a devastating fire not only to residents but also to our wildlife and eco system Wildlife has been displaced too causing bears to come into town so it has not been a good summer here.

I updated this season's important milestones on the introduction post on Page 1.
We also kept a spreadsheet on google for this season, which we managed to keep up to date the entire year. Thanks to Terri for helping me with this project it really was a labor of love; here is the link.
