Yes, Judy, it was Sur, you know I've been looking and I think Sur's head is narrower then Res's, I think your right about the beaks. Boy! quite the collision there when he dropped food..glad he's alright.

Just looked back to the 10:05 delivery, and didn't see any visits. Dee and Ess seem relaxed, dozing and preening.

Thanks, Bev!
I'm rebooting the North cam now - no clue why it's behaving so badly these last couple of days.

Okay, I'm gonna go take a break, hope someone has more news when I get back.

5:11 Just checking in before I start dinner and was delighted to see Sur drop off a decent sized fish. One of the babies quickly grabbed and mantled.

I just got back from dinner and saw a very fast drop of a large fish - and Dee has it!
And doing a quick look back, there was another delivery at 4:31 - and it was Res! I think Ess got that one.
It looked to me as if Res is using her foot more - though it was a very quick visit.
Looking back further, starting around 4:21 pm, Dee spent some quality time working on the leftovers on the nest, such as the seagull carcass. I'm thinking Ess may have gotten a bit more food today, and Dee may still be hungry. Dee was still picking at the carcass (and occasionally getting some food) when Res arrived at 4:31 pm.
Off to get some videos and screenshots to go with that summary.

Re: Surrey Reserve 2018-2019 Observation and Discussion
Glad to see you here, Bev and Beth!
Summary of Res's visit at 4:32 pm.
I think Res had the bird in her right foot when she landed, though it's hard to be sure. The pictures click quite a bit bigger.
She fed Dee at the top a couple of bites, but was having trouble holding the item down with her injured leg; eventually she started pulling a large piece off, and Dee grabbed it and turned away to eat it. The Ess grabbed what was left and pulled it out from under Ess's foot (I was yelling "be gentle, Ess" - but s/he is an eaglet and it was food, so Ess totally ignored me). No screenshots for this because it will be clearer in the video.
After the food was gone, she did seem to be using her sore leg for balance, rather than relying on a wing, though I'm pretty sure her weight was on her good leg.
The picture above also shows her right eye which looks quite different from Sur's (his seems to have a dark circle around it, hers has white feathers right up to the eye), and shows one of the white streaks on her feathers.
The last picture is her taking off. I'm pretty sure the weight was on the left leg, but it looked to me as if she was using the right one for balance and a bit of extra lift.

From the 5:11 pm food delivery, including an 11 second video.
I'm pretty sure this is Sur because he's moving so freely as he drops the food and runs.
This was just before Sur landed - if you click larger, you can see Ess's white-tipped tail feathers on the left, so it was Dee who got this delivery.
