I decided to visit the Hornby Island eagle nest cam again. In 2017 I believe, l watched the nest. They had hatchlings and a young new mom. When she came back to the nest it was unclear what happened. She was very young and the next morning the hatchlings were gone. What did she do. But no eaglets till now. 2 eaglets on the nest on a very tiny island on the west coast of Canada.
Dad Em is still there but a new mom. 2 years and finally eaglets. I reported on this nest so faithfully.
But then the eaglets died. Very beautiful island. But the nest cam was removed from Hancock forums when the forums were updated recently. I wrote in about all the deleted eagle cams and this one but they said they would slowly bring them back in and never did. I enjoyed watching the stork cams of Europe but those cams were deleted with the new hancock site also. And never brought back either.

Now I have to go to hornby island eagles cam and observe them outside of the hancock forum. It is a remote nest and if you wait you can see 2 eaglets heads pop up. Which reminds me I have not seen any postings from Karen Bills of Hancock for a while. She works closely with David Hancock. She posted quite a bit on the different eagle cams. Especially on the Redding California eagles. Hope she is ok. She posted alot on the hawk in the eagle nest. We miss you Karen.
The hornby island eagle nest is off the beautiful coast of Victoria in British Columbia area. Please bring it back on again why didl you let it go? Queen Elizabeth is coming to Canada.
Eagleslanding, I believe I read awhile back that Karen no longer works with HWF and David Hancock.

Another beautiful sunrise this morning at the Mississippi River Flyway Cam.
They say the pink haze is from smoke coming from Canada.
I call it a "Monet Sky"

I forgot to post here
It's about Big Bear nest, a Week ago the little one "Cookie" passed away.
Today "Simba" his siblings isn't so good, numerous ps during the night, yesterday or the day before he vomited a yellow liquid and he isn't eating very much..

but on FB after the death of Cookie i find a pic of the two younger eaglets … like a premonition ? what do you think ?

I Don't know if you already saw this pic of Babies Simba and Cookie. Simba is the left one, Cookie is the right one
It seems like if Cookie was already, so young, watching toward the heavens. And have a look at Simba's face, it seems also so sad. May be, so early, they already knew something about Cookie's destiny. :cry1:
Sorry for my thoughts

Simba will survive, his mom and dad will watch out for him. Eagles handle this differently than us.

Jwin, thanks for the article about that awesome photo. I've seen the photo lots of places on Facebook.

It will be strange not to have the cams at SWFEC. It's been great to continue seeing H and M.

Sunnybird, I'm glad to have MRF Cam back; it is such fun!

Philjo, that is a precious photo of Simba & Cookie. Sounds like Simba is doing okay now as I read through the BBL facebook page. I sure hope so! Is there a Hancock Forum for Big Bear? I couldn't find one.

Everyone, in case you don't know, Philjo has created a beautiful "In Memoriam" forum where he posts a lovely thought and photo of any of our precious eagle friends who have passed. Take a look at it. viewtopic.php?p=203737#p203737

Big news at Decorah today - D32 branches this morning! And he has been back up to the branch several times. I'm sure D33 will just be a day or two behind him.
