Iris chirping and watchful, 1:44 pm April 7

Iris stayed on nest and then flew at 1:54 pm

Great captures Heather! I just watched that on a video by Grandpa Rufus and wow, Iris sure made it clear that the female could not stay. They (Hellgate osprey) do not think she will come back after that. Wow!

They think this is the same female that came first to nest when Iris came back. Can't blame her for trying, eh?

They were focusing on blood on her talon as she was on shaky perch in the wind. Then Iris brought a fish, Louis thought it was for him, but alas, not, she took off with it. He did some nest molding and sitting on perch in the wind. I had misinterpreted this, backwards but corrected now.

How cute! Both are on the nest together, with lots of close ups. Major stick improvements are being made on the nest by Louis while Iris talks and talks and talks.

I did have two scaps I took earlier @ 6:06 pm and didn't have time to share , thought it was quite humorous. I guess Louis was tired of Iris chirping in his ear so he went to a light post to left of nest and she was on the nest chirping at him

11:43 On perch together, on nest, Louis brought breakfish......it's all good. It's raining.

Logs delivered by Louis, sticks arranged, osprey on perch together, even on top of each other, and now one alone on perch in the rain, sometimes sleeping......
A lovely day for sure with them there....
