This nest is so much calmer than last year. One eaglet is a nice change. All is well here.

Very windy on the nest today. Everyone is laying low. Hope this doesn't last too long.

Much quieter here now. It has been a calm overnight. Feedings are normal and the eaglet has been sleeping and growing :mihihi: with Mom and Dad nearby. :rh:

Jwin, thank you so much for your s’caps and obs.here. This nest so so nice to watch this year, unlike last year. I wish I had more time to observe and take pictures. I wish Rainna were here to watch and document like she did last year; she would love this.

It has been breezy and sunny. A very pleasant day.

The eaglet is upside down in the nest bole and cannot turn itself over. Hoping it will right itself soon.

Eaglet got upright and seems OK. If anyone saw this please post.
If I find out more information I will post.
Update: there is a video by Lady Hawk on YT if you want to see how the parent helped the eaglet get up. It is so interesting to watch how the parent helped. I am not sure which parent helped but it seemed to me that it was Dad. If anyone else knows better please correct me. I am just incredibly happy that this little one is safe and sound.

Hi jwin, I went back and looked at Lady Hawk’s video and it appeared our fat little, bottom heavy eaglet was trying to preen it’s backside and toppled over like those old timey punching boppers only h/s didn’t pop back up. It was very interesting to watch the parent (thinking Dad also) help. I also noticed pin feathers starting to come out but since I don’t have LH’s permission to post from her video, I can’t post a pic here.

 Hi.
Thank you, Kitcat, I had no idea that an eaglet could fall and not get up. It was surreal. I really think that Dad knew what was going on and deliberately helped right the little one.
Yesterday I saw the eaglet very close to the edge and when I checked in later the cam was on highlights. Of course I panicked :donpan: and thought the worst. But all is well this morning. :mihihi:
So glad I am not the only one watching.

Here is the Lady Hawk video of the eaglet getting into and out of trouble. Thank you, Lady Hawk for your permission to post.
