A male Osprey swooped onto the Hellgate nest in Missoula, Montana this morning. Watch the bird make a confident landing and immediately begin making arrangements to the nest. By the looks of it, this male is likely Louis—the patriarch of the nest and Iris's mate. If this visit does mark Louis's return, he would be right on time! In 2018, Louis completed his long journey back to the nest on April 4.

From the DVR Louis flew off the owl pole and left the remainder of fish @ 8:03 pm April 5

I checked the DVR back as far as it would go to 9:37a and no nest visits and the chat isn't reporting any either !

Hang on for the ride! Iris is on nest, apparently another female had landed prior to her, but it is her, I recognize her calling. Louis brought fish and she followed I believe.....the saga is starting.....oh what fun!

She got a fish at 3:08 their time. She had to wait a bit. So official first fish delivery.
