7:32 pm
Sur arrived on the side of the nest, Res called a few times then got up and flew off. Sur took over incubation.

Good night everyone (though I have my iPad and will peek in if I wake up during the night).

7:46 pm
Res is back moving around on the nest; Sur is ignoring her, and continuing to incubate the eggs.

And one of them just flew off while I was typing - I’m not fast or accurate on my phone. I see a lot of white upper tail so I think Res is back on the eggs after her evening break.

Good very early morning, everyone, and thanks for starting our day, nightowl.

I tried to look back on the dvr, and around 11:27 (I think) she rolled the eggs and I saw two. She seems to have been sleeping since then, or was at least in the same position as I jumped to a new spot on the timeline.

And speaking of sleeping, :offtobed:

Hi everyone! And I think you're right, Bev, about it being Sur - I just looked back on the dvr, and it looks as if he's been there for at least the last two hours, since about 1:15 pm. I noticed him getting up and turning the eggs three times during that time (including once just now). He did give a bit of a call when he was up around 3:15 - so perhaps he's ready for a break!

6:29 pm
Sur did a bit of calling, then got up and flew off. I can hear him (or one of them) continuing to call in the distance.

6:34 pm
Someone is back - I think it is Res - I saw the little dark spot/shadow on top of her head as she landed, and I don't see the dark spots in the upper tail that Sur has.

I am also noticing that the end of her tail is looking a bit dirty, and I don't remember seeing that before.
