It's that time of year again.... Camera maintenance. We have some broken equipment including switches, media converters, mics & cameras. Starting tomorrow, 4th March, 2019, approximately 7:30am, cams and broadcast will be turned off. The plan at the moment is to: Bring nest and adjacent cameras down (and the branch) Completely re-organise all of the cabling within the reserve - huge job. Prepare/build new camera for implementation to nest tree. Attach new mic to new camera (existing mic will b …
SO WE will see you all soon after the construction work
This was posted today by Sea Eagle so i copied and posted so the people over seas would know what is happening thanks

Part of the maintenance list of jobs was to get the large branch off nest.
Rope flung at branch and pulled off nest! :woohoo: :thumlft:

From http://www.sea-eaglecam.org/video.html
The Live Stream is not http://www.sea-eaglecam.org/video.html available at this time.
The camera setup has been removed and all components are being serviced or replaced.
We will try to get a temp. camera streaming from the ground by the 10 March 2019.
We expect to have the cameras back in service by the 18 March 2019.
Sorry for any inconvenience, we are looking forward to a successful 2019 season.

UPDATE from HGR on SE21 and others - 10th March, 2019

FYI - The details of SE21's have not been finalised yet, however it will be private. Peg likes to keep everything calm and quiet when she releases birds from her care.

Yes, there will be photos.

Higher Ground Raptors:

Update on SE 21's upcoming release

Followers of SE21 on the right- yes she is in the starting lineup and here she is with the adult - good to go at last, and ASAP I am hoping so she has the best chance to reunite with her parents. I will try and get some footage of her release but it will be close to dusk - the main thing is she will have a calm release, well as calm I guess as possible! Will keep you posted and let you know when the big day comes.. I am just waiting for the good folk at SeaEagleCAM to line up a few things with their cameras so that she does not get disturbed should she go back to the nest..

What a road she and I have travelled together, I will put up a couple of videos of her next.

Great news DDuckies2 !
The video is already there on the FB page of HIGHER Ground Raptors and you do not need to be registered to see it

For diehard SE21 fans I present.....
"12 minutes of SE21 Yabbying"
Starring the Bermi WBSE and SE21
Now I know why I had to keep replacing these little blue $18 pools!! Big heavy Sea Eagles jumping on the edges of them!
Thanks Jane and Adele for editing this for me.
Nic Auton thanks to some of SE21's wonderful and caring fans I believe we can make a start on 'The Magnificent Pool" AKA "Essie's Pool".

Due to bad weather, SE21 won't be released until Monday morning some time. Stay tuned for any changes
