5:36 pm Checked in to see if there were any visits and who should arrive but Sur and Res.

5:07 pm The North cam was pixelating and pausing too much for a video but here is the South cam!

:vid: Sur and Res visit inspite of the snow! (5 min)

Looks like more than a wee bit of snow to me - and sounds chilly, too.

I looked back two hours and didn't see any visits, which didn't surprise me because I don't see any eagle tracks in the snow. I hope they're snuggled in somewhere warm and cozy.

Just noticed we had a visitor - I think he or she is eating what's left of yesterday's meal.

The north cam is pixelating badly, so I logged into the zoomer link to get a better picture of the eagle on the nest.

Not sure yet who it is.

Continuing to eat the frozen leftovers of the bird that was brought in yesterday. I still haven't seen the dark spot that would suggest this is Sur, or the neckline (Res's neckline is more even). At this point, if I had to guess, I'd guess Res, based on general body shape more than anything else.

1:11 pm
And I'd be wrong - I've seen more of the chest, and I think I'm seeing the feathers that hang down below Sur's neckline. It makes sense he'd have his feathers fluffed up a bit on this chilly day.

3:45 p Checked back to 1:45 pm - no eagles - and if I ever get a chance to finish (phone keeps ringing!) a video is coming of Sur and the leftovers.

Someone is there eating something - not sure if it's the leftovers from before or something new.

I've let Ken know that North embedded is having issues, and he'll check on it when he gets home - for now I've logged in to see what I can see.

I think this is Res - had a glimpse of the neckline, and also saw a spot on her head - she doesn't have an actual spot, but the feather that sticks up sometimes looks like one.

But I've been wrong many times before.

And she/he just looked away, and I thought I saw Sur's wayward neckline feathers. I don't want to stop watching to look back, but wonder if he or she is eating leftovers or something new.

Looks like a smooth neckline here.

Whoever it is, they seem very hungry - which isn't surprising as the snow is probably interfering with their hunting.

I just noticed that North is not centered - if another zoomer is here, please feel free to zoom. I need to leave soon.

Because I need to leave, I'm scrolling back on South.

From dvr - both adults arrive at 5:14 pm; they did not bring new food.
20190211_010.jpg

One started eating the leftovers while the other dug in the nest - not yet sure who is who.

5:17 pm (from dvr) - one left. I did not see any dark spots on the tail of the one who left, so I think it was Res that left.
20190211_012.jpg

And this picture from earlier on the dvr suggests that the one on the right eating was sleeker, so more likely to be Sur.
20190211_013.jpg

I did not see the other one return, so I think it was Sur who was eating all along.

The remaining eagle left at 5:38 pm, and it looks as if there are dark spots on the upper tail, so probably this was Sur.

Wonderful to see them both, no matter who is who. :)

Good night, everyone. :offtobed:
