Liberty flew by the old Turtle Bay nest tree area, chased a Turkey Vulture off of Dead Tree, and proceeded over to land on the Family Tree...

So I rode over toward the Family Tree as quick as I could & Liberty was still perched there! I haven't seen her on that tree in quite a while so it was a real treat spending some time with her there!

She also was looking around a lot! I hadn't seen any of the young eagles that I've been seeing in the area lately, but it looked like Miss Liberty was seeing them! She even trilled to somebody at one point!

After Liberty flew off toward the Nest Tree area, I headed toward the Sundial Bridge on the River Trail & not far away I spotted this 4th year eagle perched in a tree...
This could have been who Liberty was seeing & calling to!

The young eagle flew off & headed toward the Family Tree!
I eventually headed back that way & found this eagle, which looks like the same one that I had seen above the River Trail...

We have still been seeing a lot of young eagles in the Turtle Bay area lately!
It's been fun seeing so many this year! Especially in the absence of our beloved Liberty & Spirit who have been spending a lot of time down at the southern end of their nesting territory at Riverview preparing their nest for egg laying in February!
Here is one young beauty I saw on Sunday on Liberty's Island....

I could have snapped away all day! Sightings of these two has been few & far between this season in the Turtle Bay area, so when I see them I have to take full advantage of the moment!!!
