Dinner time here as well. I saw a few crows(?) fly into the upper branches of the nest tree, and was briefly excited to see big wings approaching, until I saw there was no white head!

I'm going into the North cam briefly to move it back to a closer view of the nest - if any zoomers would like it further back, please feel free to change it.

Added - I'm out of the North cam.

I'll send Ken a text to let him know that something may need a reboot.

12:31 pm checked back to 9:58 am -can't see the nest very well with the cam pulled back - timer blocks my view of the nest -but don't think there were any eagles visiting.

Thanks, gemini - if I try that view tomorrow, I'll move the nest further to the right so it's more visible in the thumbnails. I was watching most of the time it was in that position, and didn't see any eagles. But I heard at least one, so I'm hoping they're still around.

9:20 am Good Morning everyone, went back on DVR to 7:20 am - no eagles.

North cam is pixelating, sound is stuttering and can only get it on YouTube. South cam has spinning circle.

Ken just rebooted the Wowza server, and both embedded cams are streaming now.

And it's fine to move the cam, Bev, to wherever it works best for you to watch and scroll back. :thumlft:

Comparing the nest on the first and fifth of January. (click 2x for bigger)

1-1 and 1-5-2019.jpg

Aside from the lighting changing the appearance a bit there isn't a speck of difference in the placement of the individual pieces of straw! The feather has turned a bit but that would probably have been the wind.

Thanks gemini for the comparison views..

I am thinking if Res and Sur are taking a winter break like Mom and Dad Honeycomb use to do.. we probably won't see them until later this month or early February .. having said that Res and Sur did a lot of nest work earlier like Judy said ... so :luck:
