Checked the cams - empty nest and the S. cam showed a spinning circle the same as you found Bev.

Hi everyone! Thanks for the reports today, and I'm hoping I'll be able to check in a bit more tomorrow. I forgot to mention that I rebooted South - hopefully it will continue to stream for a while.

And goodnight everyone!

Good morning, everyone!

I've rebooted South again - if it goes back down, I'll ask Ken if he can reboot the server - though North seems to be fine so I'm hoping the issue is just with the South cam. It doesn't look like a day when I'd expect a visit from the eagles - but who knows.

I also changed the stream settings on both cams so Stream 3 is the Mac-friendly stream. It does seem as if there's something I'm missing - when we had Stream 3 set up for Macs before, when a Mac-user tried to log in, the cams came up defaulted to Stream 1 and she couldn't change that - so I moved the Mac settings to Stream 1 - and then the cams defaulted to Stream 3 for her. This hasn't been an issue at Harrison Mills, which uses an older model of Vivotek cam, and I haven't found anything in the manual to help with this - the cam is supposed to work with Macs on Firefox. And I'm mentioning this on the off-chance that someone reading this thread has a suggestion. And I'll try to find some suggestions online - but have some other things to catch up with first.

Maybe I'm wrong about the weather keeping them away - just heard at least one eagle calling. Unfortunately not that close to the mics, and I didn't see anyone - but I think they are around. :)

And the rain may have stopped - hard to tell. North cam just switched to color at 8:06 am.

Added -
I moved the North cam to a wider view in the hopes of seeing one or both flying around; South is working for now (fingers crossed) so we can also get a close look if either of them come to the nest. This is the Nest Wide preset, then panned to the left a bit to show a couple of the tall trees where I'd think they might perch.

Thanks, Bev and Marg! I sent an email to Ken shortly after my last post, when the feed started to get choppy. I'll try a text message in a while - not near my phone at the moment.

I'm not going to try a fourth reboot unless there's an eagle in the nest - it's not helping for more than a few minutes, so I think waiting for Ken is the way to go for now.
