Good Afternoon All,

Sorry this is a hit and run. We have visitors at work this week, so I've been super busy. Awe Mr Grumble :rh: :rh: :rh: what a beauty.

Race went well Saturday, but it was raining. Just a drizzle, but it made the trail all muddy and slippery. I came in third from last, but I don't care I was so proud of myself. It was a mile up the mountain on a fire trail, then a mile down the mountain on the same trail. I had to walk most of the uphill, but I jogged all of the down hill :thumlft: . I got 2nd place in the costume contest. Will post pics this weekend. I was dressed as Rudolph the red nose reindeer. A very nice Santa came by to speak with me before the race and said the sleigh was ready. I explained that this was my first run for the year and my first trail run and that I would be at the back of the sleigh trying to keep up. Santa was really sweet. When I got close to the finish line he came out and ran the rest of the way with me singing Rudolph the red nose reindeer. I could of hugged the stuffing out of him. Erik was waiting at the finish line and and I hugged/held him and cried. I was just so happy to finish. I was wet and cold (barely 30F) but so happy to have run the race.

Gotta go, but Hugs all around :grhug: Will catch up latter.

Hancock here -- some wonderful numbers of eagles are appearing at the Harrison! This is your last 'rushed moments' before Xmas to either give an interesting gift of a boat tour or go on one yourself. Fraser River Safari Tours, with me aboard as guide, will be offering tours on Saturday Dec 8th - possibly at 10 and 12 AM out of Kilby - on the Harrison. That is, Liam will be offering the tours if he gets enough clients.

This is a wonderful break in the season's festivities and the best time of the year to see these wonderful congregations of eagles. I hope to see you on the Harrison - call Liam for booking: 1 778 347-2646.

judi: That is so very sweet of you to want to adopt Grumble. We shall see how things work out. He came to eat here today and also went to my neighbour's up the street. My neighbour already has 5 cats but she kinda wants Grumble too. :) ( Her husband not so much  ) She has a cat door and always has food out and Grumble knows that so he can go there any time to eat or for shelter but I think he is a loner and does not like being with all the other cats even though he is not aggressive toward them. Right now she and I are sort of sharing him ..........feeding anyway. My neighbour is able to stroke him but he just hisses at me. So be careful what you wish for lol. I am sorry to hear Hobo's story. That is tragic. :cry1:

Rudolph and Santa running, walking the race,
trying their best to keep up the pace.....
Up hill, down hill, around the bend,
Rudolph and Santa the very best friends!

Congratulations Pat!

Scott, love the wintry bear, not, report, birds and joy.....
thank you.

Love the cat stories, sorry about Hobo, Judi.
About to get a deluge here tonight, lots of flooding apparently.

Yesterday's funeral for George Bush had the train coming from Houston, the special train,
which my son-in-law took the two of the kids to see on its way back to College Station and they were
ecstatic to see the President's family on this special train coming through Spring TX, a once in a lifetime event.

smiles to all......
and Gemini, oh I would if I could eagles galore.....a bit far, eh?

Good Morning All,

Thank you for the poem Carolyn, love it :huggie: What a wonderful opportunity, so glad your family got to see the train.

TGIF times two. Boy am I ready for the weekend. Calling for snow this Sunday, but uncertain how much we will get. I plan on spending a quiet weekend at home. The Christmas tree complete with tons of cat toys is up and the new kitties are enjoying it as much as Koko used to. They are pulling toys off and playing with them, and they seem to like the smell of the tree too. Now I just gotta get those Christmas cards out this weekend.

Hugs all around, :grhug:

Hello Everyone

I posted earlier in the week but lost it. I need to see if there's an "undo" option on the phone.

Looks like another weekend of winter storms.

Grumbles is a great looking cat, elle, scowl & all. :D
:luck: to someone's positive ID on Ma Sidney. I have to wonder if maybe she has been in rehab & then released? :chin:

Iona, those pups sure do love their gruel! :)

Carolyn, nice winter sentiments.
It's finally turned comfortably cold here in the panhandle and I'm loving it. :thumlft:

I've been following the BBu each day, Scott. :ty:
The ermine is quite interesting & also a very strong customer to be so little. Great article.

JuD, hope you had a great time with Jayden last weekend and that your auto troubles are over soon.
No wonder you talk of being so tired! :)

Wind, glad to see your post this a.m. Have fun with your weekend. :thumlft:

Thanks for the info Gemini :bravo:

Good Day Wishes, All :bye 1:
