I did try but unable to get cam I did however get into a video from just after 10 today.... there were 2 in the nest!!!
Wonderful news, Marg - we are hoping to begin seeing them more often, as we now are seeing the other pairs at Delta 2, White Rock and Harrison Mills.

We are still having some major problems with the cams - the zoomer links are working well, but we are thinking that perhaps we're overloading the internet connection at Ken's house which converts the signals from all the cams and sends it to YouTube. Or it may be something else - Ken is continuing to work on it, and hopefully will have a solution soon.

We are beginning to look for zoomers for these cams - and Firefox works on PCs, so it may be possible that Mac users with Firefox will be able to zoom without any extra hassles - but I don't know that for sure yet. If you're interested, please let me know!

This is so exciting
I have spent this evening reading all I could find about this new eagle nest/cams etc.
Thanks to all that has worked so hard to make it happen

Thanks for adding our new nest to your "route," nightowl, and starting our day here - we're hoping to see more activity here soon!

And thanks for your post, Trudi - we're still trying to get the bugs worked out of the streaming system, and hope to get the embedded cams running consistently soon.

Good morning, everyone!

We are still working to get the embedded cams streaming, and Ken has ordered an upgrade to the internet service he's using to send the signals from all 10 cams to YouTube, since all of them together tend to use more bandwidth than his current service can handle. With luck the new line will be installed on November 5 - and all the cams will run more smoothly after that.

I did discover a video on YouTube from the North cam on Thursday, October 25, showing both eagles in the nest around 5:10 pm! The link to the video is https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ur3E7tc1RO8, and the eagles are there for about 10 minutes near the end of the recording. Here are two images from the recording, from about 5:10 pm on Thursday, October 25.

I haven't seen any eagles yet (though I did arrive after the cams switched to color - maybe tomorrow I'll be here earlier) - but now that the South cam (which is over the nest) is working for zoomers, I took a moment to find the tree that holds the North cam (which provides the wide angle view of the nest). The cam blends in quite well, so I circled it in red:

The picture clicks bigger - and it looks as if there are a few places there that one of the eagles might perch, so I made a preset so it will be easier to check.

Here is one video I watched earlier:

This is what came up today when I looked.

I clicked into them and watched. I didn't see any eagles but it looks ike the cam was trying to record.

Both offline now. 10:20am

Thanks, Marg! How do you get to that screen? When I go to YouTube from our web page, I get something very different.

Pictures from a visit by the eagles on Sunday, October 28, from about 11:56 am to 12:16 pm; Part 1 of 2

Both eagles seem to have something on their beaks - not sure where they might have been digging.
20181028_006.jpg

One of them seems to have a little black stripe on one of his/her tail feathers, which may help with ID once we know who is who; I was going to zoom in for a closer look, but of course the eagle turned the other way before I could do that.
20181028_018.jpg

I think it may be the male on the right with the little dark area on the feather - he looks a little smaller here - and was very obsessed with moving a couple of branches during this visit. There might be a second dark area nearer the middle/left part of the tail, but I didn't see it as consistently as the one near the right edge.

Sunday, October 28, from about 11:56 am to 12:16 pm; Part 2 of 2

This shows the dirt(?) on the beak of one (maybe female) more clearly.
20181028_020.jpg

At this point I think they had traded places, and the other adult is working on the stick; she(?) was trying very hard, and flapping as she tried to move it. It looks as if the other adult has some gray feathers around the eye, so may be a younger adult; I think that's the one who has the dark marking in the tail.
20181028_021.jpg

I think the one with the darker area around the eyes is still on the left - and am still not sure who is who.
20181028_014.jpg

The one in the back flew off shortly after this; I didn't note when the second one left.
