Here is something I wrote for our 2 babies. Do you remember one year ago ?

Do you remember, one year Ago ?
This is for e10 and e11

Is it me or is it you ?
Written on March 14th 2018, one year after E9 fledge, when e10 and e11 are 11 weeks old

Good morning my sib’
It’s time to end the sleep
Another beautiful day to wake up
I listen to Mom gently calling us
Is it me or is it you ?

I stretch my legs, my back, my wings
Hoping for them to be strong and healthy
Flap, flap, jump and jump
Feel the breeze and please don’t fall
Is it me or is it you ?

Go go go I hear a voice
encouraging us to make the big leap
I hear a call and rejoice
here is dad with a big fish
Is it me or is it you ?

Mom, Dad, you say it’s time
Strong enough we are and brave for sure
but it’s to us to decide
Mom, dad, you are our treasures
Is it me or is it you ?

You, my twin, my fellow mate
We’re growing up with the same fate
Rule the sky and soar so high
Don’t be afraid and be in the light
Is it me or is it you ?

Your poem is beautiful yet made me
Thank you for sharing these words that help us remember this day of E9 fledging in a most unique fashion, then showing resilience most uncommon with the return to the nest. Let’s use the anticipation of these two characters to lift us again.

Hi guys !

E10 is under the nest in the bottom fork of the tree. When Harriet brought in food, 11 hopped down to nest. 10 was still on outer branch (at star) & tried to fly to nest but didn't make it.

FLEDGE FOR E10! He just flew off bottom fork of the nest tree & landed on top of snag near pond! Harriet was on the attic & watched him fly away.
