11:51 am took a quick tour around the Delta and only saw our little hawk. Such a rainy yucky day out there today. Guess the eagles are tucked in somewhere out of the rainy conditions.

11:52 logging off both cams.

1:03 pm - Good Afternoon Delta 2! I am logging into the cams.

1:07 pm - someone is hiding out on the first tower. Looks too small to be an eagle.

He came out so we can see him better and then hopped over to the left

1:39 pm - this is the only bird I am seeing out there. They are on the first tower and it looks like a small hawk.

No one else seen perched or flying around out there.

I am logged off the cams now.

3:31 pm - I think this is probably one of the neighbors on their other small tower. This tower is just to the right of their large tower and before you get to their medium tower.

Here is a s'cap of all of their towers. The large one is on the left. The one the eagle is on is in the middle. And the medium sized tower is on the right side of that branch (this is where both were seen perched the other day).

3:43 pm - it looks like there is an eagle on the tower to the right. This would be the 2nd neighbor's tower. I do not see anyone else out there on any of their other towers or poles.

I had heard the flicker and finally found him on one of the evergreens.

4:02 pm - we still have someone at the 1st neighbor's small tower
2018-10-07 19_02_11-Greenshot_LI_Moment.jpg
And someone is still at the 2nd neighbor's tower
2018-10-07 19_06_32-Greenshot_LI_Moment.jpg
And just as I was checking the nest tree for the last time someone was up in the tree and flew off just as the cam got there. It did not appear to be an eagle from the glimpse that I did get.

Hello everyone,
The snow geese are starting to arrive in Delta. They are commonly seen gathering and eating in the fields and floating in the bay. I can’t tell from the s’caps if it is snow geese...however, I did see one small flock today in the area. I have not yet seen them resting in the bay....thankfully it may be a little longer for the bulk of them to arrive. I say this as they are extremely vocal birds, and honk and chatter ALL NIGHT LoNG! They often wake us up with their socializing. But I have to say, they are quite the beauties....we are very lucky to see such a great menagerie of birds in this area...now where are the eagles?

Thank you Cherryl (Mrs Thornhill) for the info on the snow geese. I have added the video below of yesterday's YouTube tape and the snow geese are at the very beginning of this tape. So glad that you could ID them for me.
