8:48 am - I just took a look around and it seems that everyone is in hiding right now. The wind has picked up and I think it may have started drizzling as I am seeing rain drops on the cam. Then there's the fog too.

This is from around 8:34 am when I was trying to see the distant evergreen and the 2nd neighbor's tower. One of them is still up on their tower but the wind was rocking the tree so much that it was tough to get a good s'cap.

Here's the video from 7:55 am this morning when the large bird was flying from the tree to the right of the Delta Port pole and then almost landing on the wire near the port pole.

9:03 am - one last check of the area and I did not find one large bird out there. Even the 2nd neighbor is now gone from their tower. I have brought the cams back to the nest. Will check back later. Everyone have a great day.

Thank you for the video Sue...............definitely something large but I've never seen an eagle trying to land on wires like that so I too am thinking it wasn't an eagle. :dunno:

Regarding the wires....................I can tell you about what happened at Lafarge. Ma there was electrocuted a few years ago. But according to David, it was because both of her wings touched 2 separate wires, as these wires were not parallel and converged together, making their space between them smaller towards one end, while she was likely being chased by crows. So it was not just her touching those wires, it was her connecting them both which completes the electrical circuit.

Good evening everyone ,

Just wanted to give my take on the scraps that SueB posted of two eagles in Ma n Pa old nest tree. It does to me as well.

My take is and my observation,
Only Ma and Pa perched in this tree, in the wee hours before dusk that is where they always perched for the night...we viewers on the chat always said if there is an eagle in the old nest tree it is Ma and or Pa. This is their spot to perch when nite time falls. and this is their territory and only they perch there. and still able to watch their nest home from close view..
I can see two shapes in the circled spots in the tree and looks to me like two eagles.

I say, and this is just my opinion.. It is Ma,and Perhaps Pa (I still hold hope until Ma tells me her next chapter in her legacy). or if a new mate she has chosen, and if so she is introducing him to one of her favorite night time perching spots.
As we wait to see when she returns on the nest and perhaps Pa or a new mate she has chosen..Only Ma knows and she is surely keeping us tapping our talons waiting.

Just wanted to give my take on the scap's posted, great scap's as well for have seen the zoomie's going that way looking at the tree for any sign of our Delta P's.

I am curious though, Ma was on the nest tree ,perched in the tree a week ago this friday , then she stood tall n proud on her pole in the pouring rain and the wild crazy wind.. then poof off she went.. Im curious as to why she has not returned to the nest now that the weather is calmer, which she is closer as being in the old nest tree..wondering why she hasn't returned to the nest.. maybe for their is not threat at this time?

Or, Could it be that Pa is usually the one and always the one who was at the nest first, tidying things up, making sure all is secure n safe for his leading lady to return after vaca and then he would meet her on the pole or tower and they come to the nest together..So thinking the scenario has changed that if her beloved Pa has not returned she is still a little apprehensive at to bringing a new mate to her nest. Maybe we are getting our answers from Ma now regarding our beloved Pa and we are not quite ready to let go that he isn't returning? We, or rather I will wait to see what Ma tells me...

Thank you, just wanted to post my and other viewers observations regarding the Old nesting tree..
