More details coming soon!
BAEA24-62 - TERF15b
Banding Date: February 19, 2024
USFW Band #: 1098-03727
ID: Black/Yellow F2
Age:
Eye color:
Sex:
From the data I've seen, I think TERF15b is a juvenile female eagle who was trapped and received a tracker at the landfill in Delta, BC, on February 19, 2024.
I think there may have been plans to use the tracker once or twice between the time it was recovered from TERF15/Croyden Jr and the time it was put in this eagle, but there is no map TERF15a.

Re: Tracking TERF15b
April 4, 2024
I still don't have all the details for this eagle tagged in February 2024, but her map is up - and it looks as if she's exploring some areas where we haven't seen many other eagles, so I'm going to post her map for roughly her first 6 weeks with a tracker. The track starts at the Hancock Wildlife Foundation headquarters near the US border - not sure if the tracker was brought from there to the landfill at Delta where she was banded, or if she spent the night there after being banded and flew (or was driven) back to the landfill in the morning - but I am sure that everywhere after that is where she has flown.
I've also realized she's not currently listed on our giant map of currently tracked eagles - https://hancockwildlife.org/beta-bald-e ... -alliance/ - because her tracker was reused, we'd removed it from the map when it wasn't active. It should be back on the list in a day or so.
The islands do look interesting - I wonder why more of our eagles haven't explored them.
