Tracking TERF19
Link to TERF19's Tracking Map
More info coming soon - this is one of those works-in-progress things - the forum page links to the map and the map links to the forum page and we have to start somewhere. The links should be working later today.
As of March 27, all I know is that TERF19 is a bald eagle who was tagged earlier this year. I'm not seeing any data points yet, so it's possible that Myles has more information that needs to be entered into Movebank (which keeps track of all the data and makes in accessible on maps).
Update - April 21, 2022 - the map is now working (thanks, Myles!) and I have learned that TERF19 was trapped and received their tag at the Vancouver Landfill, probably on March 10, since that's the date that Myles took the pictures below. I think the blue band has the characters M over 4.

Update - February 16, 2023
Myles has added more information to the master banding/tagging records; here's what we now know:
BAEA22-53 - TERF19
Banding Date: Mar 10 2022
USFW Band #: 0829-01898 (right leg)
Banded: Blue marker M over 4 on its left leg
Captured: Vancouver Landfill in Delta, BC
Age: age class calendar year SY/TY; age class est 3 yrs; moult class TPB/third pre-basic?
Eye color: light brown
Sex: Female
JudyB note - I think the age information means that TERF19 likely hatched in 2019 (so three years old/starting her fourth year at time of banding/tagging).

Re: Tracking TERF19
April 21, 2022
Myles tweaked some settings on the Movebank site that uploads the data for our tracked eagles - and now we can see where TERF19 has been since he or she was caught and received their tracker at the Vancouver Landfill on March 22. Please note that this map is still a work in progress, and TERF19's final color will be different - probably a green that's different enough from the greens used for Loki/BETA04 and TERF17 that there won't be too much confusion.
TERF19's most recent update was April 13, when they were at Campbell Island, offshore from Bella Coola.
I'm thinking that if TERF19 continued along the outer coast of the islands heading towards the Alaska panhandle, there may not be many cell towers until Prince Rupert. The dot for TERF19's location on the 13th is just below Bella Bella near the bottom of the map - not too easy to see in Map view.
Safe travels, handsome young eagle!
