Thanks so much for the wonderful coverage here, Lynne!
I'm in the process of updating the "Summary of Travels" information for our various tagged eagles, and as part of that process found these two screenshots - the first shows BETA03's travels from November 2020 (when he got his tracker as a newly fledged eagle dining at the landfill in Delta) through December 2021, and the second shows his travels through December 2022.
The color is different because we changed from trying to use unique colors for each eagle to using red for all the individual maps, since it shows up quite well on all backgrounds.
I find it interesting that he traveled quite a bit further north in his first year of travels, while this year he explored the area near Terrace and Kitimat, spending time on the Skeena and Lakelse Rivers, but didn't go into Alaska like he did last year. He also spent a lot of time at places that he apparently found welcoming last year.
I wonder where he'll go this year.
