Practice Thread
Re: Practice Thread
JudyB, I have noticed that when I click on other posters' attachments, they expand to full screen, while mine only expand to about 2/3 of the screen. Is there some setting to change this?
Re: Practice Thread
Pictures will generally only expand as big as the originals. I know a number of people go to full screen to take screenshots (and I do that occasionally if there's a detail I want to save) - but most of the time I have several cams streaming, so my pictures usually only go to that size since I'm trying to document when an eagle arrived on the nest or what they were doing - not get a full screen shot of the head to try to see the dots in the eye for ID purposes.
Here are two pictures of the snow falling at our Surrey Reserve nest in BC - first is the size I normally use, second is full screen.
Does that help?

Any photos taken by the local observers are likely to be huge - the default size of current digital cameras seems to be a lot bigger than what most cameras stream. I was thinking of screenshots when I posted initially.

another test
This is a map showing the travels of BETA04/Loki who hatched in our Surrey Reserve nest in 2020, and had to spend a bit of time in rehab at OWL, where she was given a tracker. She is a well-traveled young eagle at this point!
You can follow her travels here - viewtopic.php?f=95&t=494&sid=17022e644c ... 3a073f21ed

test number 37
Hey - it finally worked!
Added - it might have taken less than 37 tries, but it felt like it was taking a long time.

Re: Practice Thread
This cam definitely provides a great view of our Boundary Bay eagles - have you found the thread for them - viewtopic.php?f=136&t=709
We'd love to have you join us in posting observations there if you're watching the eagles. Sadly the Delta pair have not shown any interest in the similar nest HWF built for them - but maybe in time they'll give it a try.
There's more information about adding pictures to posts here - viewtopic.php?p=159#p159
If you just use the attachment tab below the post and add a file or files, it or they will show up at the end of the post.
If you want the picture in the middle of the text, then you can put your cursor where you want the picture to go, and use the "place inline" button. I usually put a couple of returns in the post and paste the picture in the middle of those to make sure it doesn't end up in the middle of a word or something.
Not really intuitive, but fairly quick and easy after you've done it a few times!

Hi Judy
Roseann asked me to do some rollback work for the BB forum. I am going to practice a bit as it seems like a few things to remember. I will reread your post and keep the info in mind as I practice!! Muriel
