2:07 am from Surrey, the north cam is frozen at 1:35 am.

Hi Judy White Rock CU is:
It was so clear up to now. I got a lot of scaps of the eagles working on the nest this morning.

Thanks, Sandy and DDuckies!

This morning the signal from one of the Surrey cams was breaking up, and it improved after the folks at GLS reset the stream key that connects the camera feed to YouTube. No clue if it was a coincidence or what, but I asked them to try that with the White Rock CU cam. No guarantee, but it might help.

Judy. Hi, the WR North cam is really behind again. The CU is bad this morning. I think I saw mom and dad on the nest tree and got some scaps from the WA. It looked like they mated on the east branch before dad took off. Thanks.....Sandy

Thanks, Sandy - message sent for those cams and Mission East, which is frozen.

I asked Ken and the GLS team to consider changing the way they send the CU cam to match what we're doing with the Surrey cams - which is basically pulling a lower resolution stream from the cam (which reduces the load on the internet on site), then stretching it with the streaming software before sending the signal to YouTube. The images aren't quite as sharp - but they also don't break up as much as they did when we were using a higher resolution stream. Not sure if it will help, but at this point I can't see how it could be much worse.

Thank you Judy, The CU seems better now.

You're welcome - and it may be partly coincidence - I don't think the folks at GLS have tried what I suggested yet (the time stamp should appear larger, like those at Surrey).

Ken also mentioned that moisture in the enclosure that houses the computer equipment at the site can cause issues. He knows that the eagles appear to be planning to use the nest with the cams - and that we're entering the time when they usually lay eggs - so I know he'd like to get out there to check on that, but I'm not sure how soon that can happen.

7:14pm.....Was just on the zoomer cams at SR. All cams went black but the zoomer cams have come back on. Both embedded cams are still black now.
